So I'm curious of a few things about this title with the politics of the game. Maybe someone can help answer these questions:

1-How if possible do I level up my vassals/lords when they have their own groups of soldiers and there is no apparent option to add them to MY party?

2-Any way to take soldiers from my vassals/lords party?

3-How do I make a truce with other kings? I have 87 devotion of the Kerg king but he declared war on me for no reason. Worse is they constantly attack my villages and my vassals all lower the devotion to me. Which leads to

4-How the F*CK!! do I get my vassals to like me when they have a city, a castle and like 6 villages given AND they progressively hate me...WTF!!!! PIECE OF SH!T GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >_<
Sorry...that just really pisses me off this does this for no reason =(

Any help would be nice. Thanks =)

There are lots of M&B strategy guides online, I just hit google with a question with Mount & Blade tacked onto it and end up with a half dozen guides with useful info. I don't directly know the answers to most of your questions but #3 can be done by talking to the city's guild master and doing quests for him. Eventually a quest will come up to achieve peace with a rival kingdom, and you usually have to go visit and bribe some lord or king in the enemy kingdom as well as a lord in your own or something like that, then they broker a peace deal. Not sure if there's another way but that's how I've done it. IIRC, it costs a fortune too so make sure you're well bankrolled.

Just hit up google for a guide for the rest though, lots of good info out there.

1 - As far as I know you cannot, at least without modded files.

2 - Not without modded files. (maybe not even then)

3 - Unmodded warband - you have to actually meet with the enemy monarch (potentially dangerous - if he does not agree he will likely try to attack your party), or alternatively you can wait until tires of the war (only if he is not winning) and sends you a truce offer.

4 - Your vassals opinion of you is reduced if they lose battles or if you do something they don't like. Giving them holdings only gives a one time relations boost.

1: I don't think that is possible.

2: See #1

3: It's fairly random. I've had King Harlaus offer me a peace treaty (for a fee) and had him attack as soon as the treaty was over. It's best to wipe out a faction when they declare war, because they're morons who can't be trusted.

4: Don't use vassals, just...don't. Half the time your vassals are off doing their own thing while your nearby city is being demolished, and they're jealous and petty. You can take over a city or a castle on your own, with no help from your vassals, and half of them will still get in a huff when you don't award them the city/castle.

I can give you some info on a near flawless build (in my opinion haha) that I use. It's one that relies on not using vassals/lords(or joining a kingdom, or even having any troops for the first several hours) and it ends with you ruling the entire map with an iron fist haha. Of course it's a bit of an overpowered build from about halfway through the game.

Thanks for the feed back folks =D

I wanted to finish this game before I started with fire and sword. Not sure if they kept everything from warband or not...namely picking up arrows and bolts or other spent items.

That was one of the best parts they added in warband. It makes staying in a siege much more capable for me.

The number one thing that brought me back to playing these games was finding out I could actually take the entire map. Otherwise the godly nature of all the characters seemed rather pointless.

Anyone know if they will ever make a perma death game? Changes the dynamic to force the game to make new lords from different avenues. Like a steppe bandit gaining power in one part of the map. The game could choose a leader and BAM! new lord! Or maybe a couple of vassals had kids and they 1st born attempts to take power from abroad, they come back and BAM! new lord! lol

Caravans could start new villages, especially on a wider more open land map. Make a map with not much on it like real life land and castles could be built. An area gaining momentum and kept well protected would then have a natural city over time =D

All that I mention plus a modern Zombie apocalypse game too would be great!! ^_^

I'm a little late to the party, but I think it's worth pointing out that you're much more able to make friends with your enemies than your vassals. You need to be constantly running feasts in order to keep your vassals in line, you need to make sure they are incredibly luxurious, and then you need to attend and talk to each of them. Then once you've done that you gain 3 points of preference. Then once you assign a village to someone everyone else takes a 5 point hit. This makes it very hard to keep friends. Better to let them defect, because...

You can make very good friends with enemy lords simply by kicking their arse and letting them go. Do that a few times and they're your bestest buds. Lords defect so frequently you just need to make sure you've got a few in the pot ready to head back your way to replace them (taking the defectors villages and castles isn't hard, and you should never give a city to anyone but yourself).

I'm currently in Warband. I've never seen an option to make a feast as I am now a queen ruler. I have 500,000 denars and would like to know how to make feasts. As of now, I'ver only been able to make vasslas like me by allowing a shitty castle to be taken and I retake it to give it back to them, repeat method etc.

On a side note I found a cloning glitch since I first posted this thread. My best friend Katrin became a vassal. I lost my first empire and she went to the enemy. I made her my friend over and over and she eventually was gifted Praven city. When she became my ally under the khan I defected and she followed without me asking and I took over Praven. Now the glitch. She was found in my city and re-joined my party. I left the city and found a clone of her running around patrolling the area lol

Only when she was captured and I payed her ransom did the clone disappear. Perhaps because she was already in my party XD

But glitched still because she is still Lady Katrin and holds Praven....but is a member of my party. Go figure XD

I'm not sure about your cloning bug. I saw something similar(ish) where I helped an hier overthrow the existing ruler, but then that existing ruler still existed after defeat, and later gained ownership of a town (such that I couldn't conquer it as I wasn't at war with him and could not go to war with him).

The feasts thing is fiddly. Firstly you have to get there first. If someone else is holding a feast in your kingdom then you can't. Once you get that window, then you need to go to your primary base, and talk with your wife/husband. They need to organise the feast. It's not as simple as just clicking a button.

As others have said though, this is all just a quick search away, one of the wiki's would help you much more on this.

Oh...you have to be married to get the feast option? I play a female character...this could be a pain in the ass as most males don't want to marry a war monger female lol

Yeah, I found the same thing when I played as a low bred lady. In fact by the time I started courting, it was too late and no-one wanted to play.
Be sure and get the diplomacy mod....really does make the game better without changing it too much.
