UK prices here, just checked Stellaris standard game with all DLCs.

Total value: £175.94

Now I know why I don't touch paradox products with a barge pole.
And here i thought the Outer Worlds sponsorerd edition (whatever its called) was one of the priceist things sold on here....

Keith_I2: The damage is already done! I'm not absolutely certain whether or not I'll ever play the game, but maybe.

I just realized a big mistake; ordered both versions of the main game @#$%^&****

It never occurred to me to inflate the price by purchasing it in that manner.

Neptunia takes the lead again at 419.66USD (AU region). The main game purchased three times and every DLC purchased 2 or 3 times.

Here is another one.
Divinity Original Sin 2 for the bargain price of 249.94USD (AU region), with the main game purchased 4 times and Divinity Original Sin purchased twice.

On the bright side, Sir Lora is free.

Lord_of_D: Stuff like this is why i support Paradox Games piracy, half the time their games are DLC Simulators. And i dont care if half of those DLCs are basically cosmetics, when the base game costs $10 and the full game costs almost a much a a new console, it has gone too far.
Interesting reaction. Got me thinking about this whole DLC approach. I have to say nowadays this seems to be quite the normal behaviour in grand strategy land. A couple of examples are

The mighty Sid's Civ 6

base game 59,99 - DLC 151,91

Heart of Iron IV (another paradox title)

base game 39,99 - DLC 159,85

Creative Assembly's Total War - Warhammer Trilogy
( all noted since base game &DLC for one game can be accessed in another one too. Content for 1 available in 2 etc. )

1 . base 59,99 - DLC 126.93
2. base 59,99 - DLC 170.89
3. base 59,99 - DLC (expecting a figure of around the 100 euro's)

It seems, you can conclude, that the average price of these sorts of games is nowadays around the 200 euros. A price i reckon most people are not willing to pay in one strike but seem to be more than eager to do so if they enjoy the game over the course of a couple of years.
These games, piece by piece, also come with a vibrant multiplayer community and a very dedicated modding scene. It is almost that you are not only buying a game any more but a complete access point to another reality.

While not for everyone, the popularity of all of these games does suggest that there is a large group of gamers already invested. So I'm not expecting that this behaviour will change or disappear all together. Especially with whole groups of children growing up willing to spend their entire birthday gifts on soccer boxes or Pokémon lifes (just an example)

If any, I see developers only growing towards using more means of holding their target audience close to the chest. Gaming will become a nasty business in this future! Especially with world crisis events appearing in an ever growing rate.

No, you are absolutely right sir! The pricing of Consoles should be raised immediately !
As stated above, I don't think I'll ever play Stellaris; now I know I will never even install it. After watching a video or two, it's just a building and creating scenario. a third type of game I don't care for. So there you have it: no top down view, no turn based, and no building/creating, etc.
