Quite the departure from the publisher's (Playstack) usual repertoire as well, if you look at their portfolio:

Well that bandwagon ain’t going fill itself up. Glad you mentioned it’s souls like, I can safely avoid doing pathetic same thing over and over for days just “getting gud” by avoiding this.
Looks good. I'll give it a go, likely.

Hold your horses, there, friend.
The "souls" tag might not apply to this like you think it does.

Going by the very little information there is at the moment I'd say it's a "souls-clone" in the visual department ONLY, at least for the time being.
Difficulty or "grinding" actually might not be that one make-or-break thing about it at all since, as I understand it you could just shed your current "mortal shell" and inhabit or take possession of another, more suitable one for a particularly difficult task you couldn't overcome with the other previous "mortal shell".
There might be no need for "getting gud" or "grinding".

Ok, benefit of doubt and all that. It’s just a procession of “souls like”, or “so FCKi g hard you do the same beast over and over” type games now. Was playing the surge which I got on sale, nice looking only died about 10 times, then got to boss one who killed me before I even saw the first move coming. I suppose I could have spent the next week grinding my character up and repeating the battle over and over until I saw the pattern. Or, and this is what I did, I could uninstall, leave the grind to work and play something fun!
Trailer is gorgeous! Go get it GOG!
