Notice: I know some mean well, but PLEASE do not go offtopic this time....I don't want to see this locked again... thanks in advance
(To mods: I asked most who went offtopic to stick to ontopic....I ask kindly that the thread be left open and any rare offtopic be ignored or deleted[if rule breaking] so I can reply to and converse with those who stick to ontopic.)
*Update below in post 15 from YT support*

It seems ANY video(including likely some gaming let's plays as they are colorful and some feature non-M rated games) marked by YT or a creator as "for kids" cannot have comments, cannot be saved to play lists, cannot have info cards & MORE.
This is beyond nonsense.....so kids cannot play list their favorite videos and adults cannot playlist their favorite nostalgic media or maybe even some let's plays or adult animated content? And kids cannot say nice comments about videos they like or adults as well?
So what do y'all think(the ones who didn't reply yet to the old thread, that is)? Reasonable ideas or nonsense, or a bit of both?
(Thread marked as question once again so I can hand out an award to the best answer)
Gah....gonna post some links later and replies to posts from the other thread that were on topic....stay tuned, everyone.

Some replies: - The video I had linked was "for kids" as the save to playlist function is grayed out if one hovers over it. And agreed, it'd likely be ok for much older kids to watch, but YT/Coppa seem to consider "kids" to be anyone under 13...so likely not mature enough for this sort of thing.
Also again, it keeps adults from saving/commenting nicely on content from their past or new content if they feel like it, and keeps kids/teens from saving favorite videos to play lists(at least on YT main...dunno about YT kids).
And lastly they seem to be marking a good number of videos clearly not for kids(under 13) as for kids...including very violent/lewd stuff(as Themken posted)....which makes no sense.
(Thanks for the comment btw, and for replying to the old thread.:))
========================================= Thanks for adding to the thread.....though those videos aren't marked for kids(as one can save them to playlists)....or maybe they are and YT changed the restrictions on "For kids" videos or removed some that were accidentally marked "for kids"? That'd be nice if either were true.
========================================= And the reverse happens as well....a bunch of videos clearly NOT for children get marked as such, and people cannot comment on them(authors of content use such comments to improve or get new ideas/etc) or save them to play lists(for future watching).
========================================= It isn't just conspiracy theories....many including actual lawyers and people knowledgeable on such things have shown how some of the added stuff is nonsense and not needed to comply with COPPA/protect kids.....also YT implemented the categories incorrectly(COPPA allows for one extra category, mixed audiences, which has less restrictions on it...they also implemented the rest of COPPA in a way seemingly meant to drive some honest creators who don't prey on anyone off the platform)...likely on purpose.
I mean how is keeping people from making playlists for videos or keeping videos marked "for kids: from playing in the mini player protecting children?
