GameRacer: Well most if not all YTers are human(and not bots yet, thankfully o.0 ;)), and humans play games....so they should be able to spot a good game or two(or at least i'd hope so). :)
no they could not when most of them are shilling for ads, still being yutbobers shouldnt make their opinion more acceptable than anybody's else

Well they sometimes have to do that to make money if it's their main source of income.

That said: I would think the actual good YTers(those who are also gamers) would know a good game if they came across it.

Agreed.

Still, if one of them(or someone else) clues me in on a good game at some point...well to me, that's a good thing. :)

RedRagan: For real though, sometimes that ok boomer meme can be applied to so many people here.

I felt that people who's complaining are a bunch of annoying old coots who love screaming at cloud and waving their walking stick to get off their lawn.

Breja: Easy there, you're going to spill your pumpkin latte.

You're taking it way to seriously, I don't think anyone here was in earnest suggesting the games on sale are bad because of the title. It's just that GOG's social media "how do you do, fellow kids" push has been somewhat... persistant lately, so some of us terrible old grognards are making fun of it, and by the way reminding GOG that they still have a customer base from the olden days they should be mindful of, not just the hip new crowd they so desperately try to attract.
I also one one of the customer from the olden day but I also understand that game doesn't peak at the 90s. I mean look at newer stuff like Dwarf Fortress or Minecraft (that I actually follow since early beta built). I saw games always evolve with time and I enjoy both old and new games. The equivalent of youtube gaming in the past is magazine's demo discs, gaming magazines hyping over new games, E3 coverage and TechTV gaming segments. I felt that a lot of people who hated youtube gaming don't realize they're just the same back when they're young and easily hyped by gaming media.

A good number of people(in general I mean) fall into the same "trap" as they grow up, it seems....i.e. they say they won't be like their parents, disliking new things, and then they grow up and dislike new things.

(Of course, not everyone does this, but a good number do)

Not everything new is good, this is true.....but then again that was the way with things in the past as well.

Like with games...there was a good amount of "shovelware" games back in the old days as well.

For y'all, some memes that encapsulate what some likely think when they see such social media pushes and threads on GOG
