Maxvorstadt: I wouldn`t recommend Distant worlds. It seems to be hard to get it to run, many users didn`t get it to run, including me, so I had to refund the game.
Space Colony I played about 15 years ago, and I wasn`t too fond of it. Not really bad, but it didn`t really "catch" me.

IronArcturus: Is Pandora: First Contact any better?

I have a bit of experience with Pandora. It's meant as a spiritual successor to Alpha Centauri, and it's interesting to compare it to Beyond Earth for that reason. It has a semi-randomized tech tree and the old more RNGy combat system (which sucks imo). But it also has completely different population management (cities have migration attraction, which affects their growth) and a global market for all the basic resources. Unfortunately, the factions don't differentiate themselves with unique units or abilities. Overall, I get the impression it's a more war-focused 4X with less variety in other aspects. Which to me would be a lot more appealing if the game had the Civ 5 combat system rather than Civ 4's ''spearman can beat a tank because RNGsus wills it'' system.

That's weird. I just tried it, and it works for me.
Try removing the last / or Https://
Or just go to the main page and search for Pandora ^^

Very strange.
If https://explorminate.co/ doesn't work for you, try another browser. Or disable your add-ons.
If it's a VPN thing, try the TOR browser.
I'm using Pale Moon btw.

Hm, the website itself I can reach, but it takes ages to load. So browsing the website takes too long, seems, as if the website is not coded very good, or the server is bad in some way.

Odd.
Maybe you need to add some add-ons then.
