That comment is kinda ignorant and rude, goodluck finding any copy of MG for PC.

We want the games on GoG, and as is GoG nature, the games updated to work on modern hardware.

This won't happen anytime soon though, Konami doesn't even release the games on Steam, leave alone GoG.

I know metal gear solid (ps1) and MGS 2 (ps2) are released on PC. Mgs2 actually JumpStart selling of dvd rom in my country back then, because ps2 was expensive and you can play mgs2 with mid end pc. Of course ports are basic, control sucks without gamepad. I beat mgs2 using keyboard only and the control scheme almost take half of left side keyboard.

The OP asked for the games to be on PC, timppu showed him examples of the games coming to PC.
You could argue that the OP's intentions were to talk about it on GOG and not so much on PC in general, but even he commented positively rather than being upset.

Actually I was not sure what the OP meant:

1. Early Metal Gear games which were never made for PC, should be either emulated or remade for PC (like Metal Gear 2).

2. The existing PC Metal Gear games, like the first one (the crude DOS CGA/EGA version with no sound card support), should be re-released, e.g. in GOG.com.

So which one is it? Those two things are wildly different things. I took from his wording that he meant the first one, as he wished them to "come to PC".

BTW, was there an English release of Metal Gear 2 (MSX version) at all? I have this recollection that it was Japanese-only, but maybe some fans have later translated the ROM to English too? Just occurred to me when I saw that the MSX screenshots had only Japanese text on them.

Yes, many years ago I played an emulated, English translated version of Metal Gear 2 MSX version. Later, an official English version was released with certain versions of Metal Gear Solid 3. See here for more info:
