http://arstechnica.com/science/2016/02/mcdonalds-kale-salad-has-more-fat-and-calories-than-a-double-big-mac/

from the article

>>In an effort to offer healthier menu items, McDonald’s has unveiled a new salad with a “nutrient-rich lettuce blend with baby kale,” shaved parmesan, and chicken (grilled or fried). Like many fast-food salads, it may seem like a healthy option at first, but it’s not. The salad, when paired with the restaurant’s Asiago Caesar Dressing, packs more fat, calories, and salt than a double Big Mac—that’s a sandwich with four beef patties.<<

what the fuck ?
what do they do with those things ?!
is the dressing made from lard ?

speaking of excess
what is this ?! http://www.seriouseats.com/2014/05/how-to-make-the-ultimate-fully-loaded-nachos-recipe.html
that looks liek a overloaded heart attack on a plate
nacho's are corn chips with fake cheese sauce drizzled on them
that however looks like somebody sneezed
That's...that's not Nachos as I know them.

Edit: Chemicals. They load stuff like dressing with chemicals so that they can cram it with fat and sugar to make it "taste better". That goes with a lot of food stuff.

Actually food like McDonalds aren't unhealthy if you remove the dressings and fried stuff. Impossible in practice though since those things are a big part of the taste of it all.

It's a sell gimmick. Green is healthy! ;)

Edit: That would be deep fried in better english.

Tsk, tsk... Fast food type aside, everyone even slightly/remotely relative with food, knows that:

a) Deep Freeze preservation method is terrible for health, destroys vitamins and/or nutrients of food. Raw and/or fresh are what is truly good for somebody.

b) Deep Fry cooking method is terrible for health, causes artery-related deficiencies plus heart issues over a large period of time, if you eat constantly, for years, fried food continually.

c) Those french fries that fast food restaurants deal with, are full of chemicals and preservatives. Known brands such as Mc Kain have an entire coating of the damned stuff. You actually eat 30% chemistry and 70% low quality food product.

Also, Snowkatt, you cook well (or at least a street-cat told me once), what would be the reason of you frequenting a Mc Donald's, of all else eateries even worse?

deep fried is the reason most people eat at places like mcdonalds though

green on its own is healthy but not drowned in half a litre of dressing

and that nacho thing is just scary but not as scary as this https://youtu.be/m8u8Z3bUQfs
Who goes to a burger restaurant to order a salad?

Acriz: Who goes to a burger restaurant to order a salad?
the same kind of people that order deep fried onion rings a large fries pie a tripel cheese burger and a diet soda

as if the diet soda makes any difference

Yeah, I always look with a mixture of concern and distrust at people who order salads at McDonald's. Is it like a hipster thing? Is it like with bad movies, can a sald be so bad it's good? Or are they just aliens trying in vain to emulate the ways of the hu-man?

Who calls that a burger restaurant, let alone a restaurant.
Go to a real (burger) restaurant where they actually make their own burgers and serve them with good bread, slices of tomato you can actually see, etc. It will cost you considerable more, but you won't get as much fat, salt and especially chemicals as with McD.

As far as salt goes, a recent test in Dutch restaurants (none junkfood) showed that most meals contain too much salt.
Its just part of their plan. Soon, they'll start an obese person locomotive company(called ''Happy Cars'') and make billions more. Then when Americans are all in Happy Cars they stage and coup and take over. The formal rule of the illuminati will begin. See this now and fight against them.
mmm, I vaguely remember it being somehow "debunked" as they took the data from the salad meal in America and not what we have in Europe.

Difference? Well, size of the portions as Americans coming here will complain we have tiny and costly meals in our fast foods compared to all the big stuff they get for a few dollars. Reminds me that I just ate my lunch but I'm still hungry :(

In central Russia, McDs are ubiquitous, comfortable, with clean and convenient toilets, reasonably bike-friendly, and don't demand that visitors keep buying and eating or gtfo. (They're also fucking racist in their hiring policies, and I wish I could go to a Chickenburger instead, but the option isn't always available.)

I'm all for caloric salads. I'm often so sick that salads (and soups) are the only thing I can eat; everything else goes out the way it came in. The more calories I get per gram and per dollar, the better.
