I just saw the collectors edition of Master of Orion includes the first three games https://www.gog.com/game/master_of_orion_collectors_edition

I just bought those three the other day and have yet to even download them. I wasn't sure if the new one was any good with mods, so I decided to hold out. But now that I see those other games are included, I'm wondering if it's worth it and if there's a way to switch those purchases out to get all of them and the other perks that are only in the collector's edition.

Also, if I were to make that purchase on top of the others I just made (instead of refund/trading out) would I get keys that I could pass out? I'm fine with that solution too.

But I guess this all hinges on whether the game is worth it even with the mods (since the reviews for the base game aren't too shining).

Bumping this once before I contact tech support directly/ I have a friend interested in getting the classics, but I want to make sure I'll get redeem codes for the games.

I had the base game of the new Master of Orion, and this sale, I bought the Collector's Edition Upgrade to complete my collection. I didn't get GOG keys for the Master of Orion 1+2 and 3. They just unlocked automatically on my account.

I think, this is how it works for all games that offer bonus games with the purchase, because this is exactly how it happened when I bought the Divinity: Original Sin Collector's Edition. It also didn't give me bonus GOG redeemable keys. I already had the bonus games, so nothing new unlocked for me.

If you haven't downloaded the games you've already bought, you should contact GOG support and ask nicely if they might change your purchase to be a gift purchase instead. This way, you could use the keys of your old to do with, what you want, and buy the Collector's Edition to unlock all the game on your account.
