I'm very excited for this. I'm hoping ME1 gets a respec option. Going half way through a play through and realizing my theory crafting didn't work makes me want to throw my PC out the window. I would also like:

- HD textures
- Fixing ME3's garbage ending
- mods for geth weapons in ME1
- controller support
- and more

If this actually turns out to be true, I can see only one reason to do a remaster of these games at this time. "Engaging" the fans for a future announcement for Mass Effect 4.

Hahahahahahaha.... Never gonna happen... Unfortunately. Especially with the way all that Starchild BS is interwoven throughout the game long before Shepard even meets that construct.
Mass Effect 4 is still a long way away, first the ' wait ' for dragon age and then, at least a year before a new me will show its nose

I think there will not be a mass effect 4,

SPOIL if you not play the game don't read

in the end of the third one Shepard could die and there is 4 different ending, so if you can load your save where you choose none of the three original ending, the universe will be destoyed. Or they will force one of the ending and it will not be fair to those who choose a different ending.

SPOILER: Isn't there a special ending where if you get the war assets to 100% you get to see a glimpse of Shepard's corpse and you see him/her draw breath and then it cuts to black. I would say that is clearly the true ending, the universe is saved and Shepard survives.

I know, i got it as i choose destruction with a high war asset but for those who didn't rise enough war asset and want to keep it that way or choose another ending where Shepard vanish to control or to make them fuse with the machine, how would they start the mass effect 4 with a Shepard alive or even a Galaxy for those who lose everything.

that is simple, remember the transition from uhm 1 and 2 or was it 2 and 3

**SPOILER**

you had that pretty big decision leaving the council alive or leave the council alive

It's not the same, the kid told him nothing of him will remain if he do this in mass effect 2 the got his body and brain, and tor the special ending, the reaper destroyed everything. The only way to do this is to choose 1 ending and start the mass effect 4 with it but as i said it's not fair for those who choose different eding, it's like they played the 3 original games for nothing.

The world will be different if you choose destruction (every machine destroyed so no spaceship for a while and mass effect is a space game, you should be able to travel), fusion or control. They shoud write not only 4 ending, but 4 complete games as the world will be different on all endings.
My faith in remasters on PC is virtually zero. They almost all have negatives mixed with their positives. The first game is pretty rough today though, so... we'll see.

SPOILER...
I'm not going to argue about the endings, one way or the other, but for the entire trilogy Shepard has fought against the Reapers. I find the notion that the trilogy could possibly end in any other way, other than with the destruction of the Reapers absurd.

SPOILER John Wick.
It's like having the film John Wick play out exactly the same, but during the last minute of the film, John Wick decides to: 1. join the bad guy,
2. walk away,
3. replace the bad guy as the leader of his crime organization, with the promise that he'll change their way.
None of those endings work in the context of what was presented in the film previously. There's only one possible ending.

Having said that, lets not pretend that there was any thought put in the overall story and ending of Mass Effect. They just made shit up as they needed to fill out the playtime. And if EA can squeeze any more money out of Mass Effect, by making a sequel, they're going to do it, and they'll even add microtransations in it to fuel a live service monetization.
