idbeholdME: Free is a price I'd be willing to pay for DRM'd stuff. But going through the Prime trial activation process again? Absolutely not.
*shrug* Eh. Got some free games, watched all of The Boys third season and got free fast delivery on some household replacement items I needed. Totally worth the minute or less it took to sign up for the trial (for the upteenth time) just so I can cancel it again. ;)

Easy for you to say as you are from the US. You gotta jump through some convoluted hoops in some EU countries to get it working as Prime itself is not supported everywhere equally. Last time, I got it working for like 15 minutes, although it activated some sub-category of Prime products and not Amazon Prime itself (can't remember the name) and managed to claim the game before the trial got stuck in some weird state I couldn't get out of, nor couldn't cancel.. The Prime gaming page started claiming that my Trial was not active even though I successfully claimed the games from it minutes ago and the settings page also wouldn't load. Just had to leave it as was.

The entire user experience was utterly confusing and nonsensical.

That happened to me, too. I signed up for Prime, ordered something for free delivery and then tried to unsub but couldn't. I think it's a fail-safe so people just don't sign up to grab free stuff.
