Seeing the success of Fortnite, it should give you guys an idea on making a Battle Royal game and literally copying Fortnite and putting it on GOG.com and making it DRM free so its portable.

chasing an audience is never a good idea.

While the client could be DRM free, the backend servers would need account bound authentication in order to allow security and restrict cheating.
Unless you want a private server system.

Since GOG doesn't actually make games, I feel this 'request' is somewhat... misplaced.

1. gog dont make games

2. battle royales suck

3. battle royale games are online only meaning it would need the client to work

4. the game will have micro transactions in it


number 4 is the reason i dnt play battle royales cos there a pay 2 win genre of gaming, just buy v bucks, x bucks or watever goddamn currency they use to just get all the we paons etc, games industry is getting worse with this gambling crap i ngames u already paid for. its why i like GOG how games used to be witohut the bullshit

Oh please. Since when did creating a game too similar to what is already dominating the market get warmly embraced? Anything too close to Fortnite will get labelled as not Fortnite by players regardless of how well it is constructed. The time to introduce a new game with battle royale is wait for Fortnite to age to a point its no longer "in-vogue" to be playing it anymore. Let it have its run and blow it out of the water with a better title when these gamers are looking for a fresher game to sink their every waking hour on.

Honestly, I don't think anyone can create something better than Fortnite or Pubg from battle royale games. I like Fortnite even more than Pubg, it is more dynamic. Many people think that Fortnite is dying, that this game has already outlived its time, but I don't think so. Think about it recently held a tournament for 3 million $ in prize money, while in CS GO the largest tournament has 1 million $. There are different fastcaps on Fortnite platforms, where you can win from Fortnite Hoodie to 50,000 $.
