Yes, Fantasy Flight have just announced they have been working on a PC version of the Living Card Game based on LotR. Looks ok, and as an LCG could work ok. Is Steam Early Access, maybe it will come out to other platforms, though as with all these card games its likely they want people fully internet connected all the time. If it works like ascension where you can buy the card packets and play offline, then would be interested.
(Sorry, can't seem to find the link for it, wasa TwitchTV I think - watching it on the missus iPad).
Don't we already have enough walking simulators or was that just the movies? *rimshot*

I don't get it... isn't most movies either running or walking in some direction?

There is also a lot of flying in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas!

Planes trains and autombiles had very little in the way of walking or running. Anyways, this is a card game, no movement in any direction but mobility needed.
I had looked at the Lord Of The Rings LCG board game while searching for board games that were enjoyable while played solo, but the game seemed very expensive. The basic game had only a few adventures and you had to buy newly released adventures all the time to get more content and needed cards for your decks, so I stayed away. If the PC game is released/priced in the same way, it will be a money pit like the board game.

Well, its a Card Game, and yes, the basis is to buy the expansion packs and other releases. It isn't however as pricey as some of the collectible card games. But yes, I agree, the PC version can't be as expesive, if you get the cards its something physical, and you can trade/sell on. Like Acension, the addon packs are only a £1 or 2 when on sale, so the whole thing on the ipad only cost maybe a tenner.
Screenshots look exactly the same as every other F2P card game on Steam, which is a shame. Also the Fantasy Flight LCG I'm least interested in, by a big margin.

If they did something like this for Arkham Horror LCG, Doomtown Reloaded, Android: Netrunner or Legend of the Five Rings, I'd be all over it (assuming there's a solo-vs-AI mode, at least).

Well it is expensive in the long run if you stay with the game(just summed up what I've inested in the game and went a bit pale). LotR LCG came out in early 2011, that makes nearly 7 years of steady releases of packs and expansions etc. But it won't still come nowwhere near what you would have to invest in a game like the Magic:TheGathering CCG to stay with the game, because there is no random factor - everybody gets the same set of cards in a deluxe expansion or pack or....

Nevertheless it also a very good cooperative deckbuilding game in my opinion, which you also can fire up alone when your friends have no time for a gaming round.

PS Was thinking about a Magic The Gathering Spranklegate thread but it would be for sure a shitshow in here.
