Hi everyone,

i am looking for an old shareware RPG that i have played many years ago. Sadly, i do not remember all that much about it.
Much of what i remember might also be confused with other shareware RPGs of around that time...

What i remember:
It was shareware, i downloaded a version of it for free, and that was not a complete game. This might have been a separated shareware version, or a single chapter of a longer campaign.
It had a separated battlescreen. The most distinctive feature that i can remember is, that lots of dice rolling *with the images of the dice visible* was involved. Combat was turn based. If i remember correctly, no movement in battle.
Non battle was isometric.
It was 2D, but not pixel art, it had a (crude) hand drawn style.
Late '90 or early 2000.

It was *not* anything made by Spiderweb, but it had a similar feel to it in many regards.

EDIT: Hmm, do new posts now require moderator approval? It's not showing up.

Do you recall if it was DOS/Windows?

This sounds vaguely familiar.

When you say visible dice, do you mean actual dice graphics or just the calculations longform?

Sorry, game doesn't sound familar to me.

About post not showing up, I guess it is sth about Mondays, since it was the same last week, and with the topic from GOG itself, about weekly sale, at some moment it is visible, at some moment you can approach the topic if you use back button or history.

So it is not about you.
I am pretty sure it ran under Windows. It might have been as late as Windows XP, even though that is unlikly.
And i meant the actual dice. I think there was one die per partymember and one per enemy. I *think* it was blue dice for the party, and red dice for the enemies.
And it was not just D6, i remember the typical DnD dice. Or at least some of them.

And regarding the not showing up: I think i just missed the fact that unsolved Questions are automatically moved to the top of the forum for the poster...
Could it be RuneSword or RuneSword 2?

By the way, they are both Open Source now... Here's the page
