I think It came out in the last 5 years-ish.

It had a sort of washed out colour tone.

It started out with a group of people moving cautiously through some countryside. The find a cabin and hole up there for awhile. Usual zombie shenanigans ensue.

At the end there is a woman and a little girl left and iirc they will be at each others throats as the credits roll.

Sorry, I cant remember any more of the story, I was vewy vewy dwunk at the time :)

I immediately think of The Day - but its not exactly zombies, and also, I'm not sure about the ending.

Sounds like he got an edited ending. It was just on last night.

If you mean the two ladies at the end, I didn't want to spoil it :)

It's great! The older girls cuts off the younger girl's hand and tells her she's her mother.

Now that I think about it, it did seem kind of predictable; almost liked they ripped it off from another movie.

Oh. nice one. gonna have to watch it myself again soon (was also drunk when I saw it I think!).
I'd like to clarify that I was joking earlier. It does have a different ending than what F1ach mentioned but it does not involve hand cutting and genealogy. :D

Could be the movie was so crap, we took solace in the alcohol, rather than watch the movie, but I'm willing to give it another shot :)

it wasnt bad as I remember actually - pretty good for the budget (for the most part) - I just happened upon it after a night out.

Same here, I think I just woke up at the end and vaguely remembered it was pretty OK what I remembered of it.

I thought it was about zombies and I was planning a Z marathon for tomorrow with my son and I cos he's off for his mid-term break and the ladies of the house will be away for the day :)

I reckon the film broadly fits the theme.
