It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

This morning I turned my pc on, logged into gog.com, purchased three (3) items, logged out, and shut down my pc. With out incident. This evening I turned on the same pc but could NOT log into gog.com.

First problem: A solid 9 out of 10 times the information request would not appear. I mean I would mouse over sign in and click the button to be greeted by a spinning ring in the middle of the screen.

Second problem: On the rare occation I did recieve a prompt for email + password; I was greeted with a response of "invalid captcha". I was NEVER presented with a captcha. Just had a prompt asking for user/password with a sign in button and a facebook button. (This was also the first time I can remember this site ever using/trying to use captchas.)

Third problem: I proceeded to google and searched for gog login and found a link to: https://login.gog.com/login . On this page it did have a "I am not a robot" prompt between user/password request and sign in button. However; the check box next to the "I am not a robot" did NOT work. I wasn't any betteroff than before; but at least gog wasn't stealth captcha-ing me.

Fourth problem: I decided to reset my password. Followed the process. Changed my password. Other sites where I have reset my password have logged me into the site when I reset the password. NOT gog though. I was able to change my password but was still logged out with the inability to get around the captcha BS.

Tried: Restarting PC, Restarting Browser, Clearing Cache, Clearing Temp files (browser/system)

Solution: Downloaded OpenSuse and am running the os directly from a DVD

Side Note: What the Holy Hell GoG?!?!?! You wanted a captch then a two step verification? So username + password + find the cars in the picture (also: apparently SUVs are cars as are pickup trucks - at least to the captcha) isn't enough? You also want me to log into my email to provide a code?

GoG; I'm about done with your bullshit
Okay, thanks for not telling us any of the actual important information.

No specs, no help.

Needed:

Browser of choice, operating system.

(Also you do realize that Google is providing the Catchpa, so if you've got a problem with their judgement, take it up with them.)
You are most welcome. I always try to be helpful. Especially when I had obviously solved the issue (you do know that logging into gog is a prerequisite for posting on this forum; right?). But if you want spec:

os: Linux > OpenSuse > Leap > 15.0
browser: FireFox > 60.2.0

In case it matters: 64bit

The issue seems - or was - 1.) that gog would not display the log in prompt and 2.) when the prompt was displayed, there was no captcha request. displayed (i.e.the log in asked for email and password and provided two buttons but no captcha or space for a captcha) 3.) the entire captcha thing caught me off guard. I wasn't asked to solve one this morning. As far as I can remember; this is the first time I have ever needed to solve a captcha to log into gog.

Finaly, yes I am away that google provides the captchas. It was not my intent for you to infer that gog provided the captchas; gog just wasn't providing space for the captchas.

edit: may not be important but this morning the two step verification did not occure. So... this morning I navigated to gog.com, moused over signin, provided email and password, clicked on the green button, and was shopping - no two step or captcha
