The installer is encrypted and must be unlocked by logging in to the downloader with your Gamersgate ID, but once the installer is running (simply showing the first screen is fine), you can copy the installer files elsewhere to keep it from getting re-encrypted once you close the downloader.
As such, "DRM-free" on Gamersgate means the game is DRM-free, but not the installer.

Vanilla ArcaniA is not DRM-Free, but the expansion is. What about the Gold Edition? Is it DRM-Free?

The retail versions of Braid and World of Goo don't have any DRM though.
"DRM-free for the purposes of this list is defined as a game that does not require any form of phoning home (for example by means of a internet connection or telephone call) for single-player gaming. Games that are inherently online multiplayer will not be included. Disc-based copy protection and locally authenticated keys do not count as DRM. Having to register for patches does not count as DRM, unless the game cannot be played without the patch. "

Not really :) Anyway, I've never used this Gamersgate and probably never will.

"Hard Reset" (UK-version) seems to be an odd case. You'll need to register the game online (via Kalypso's very own DRM-solution, the Kalypso launcher). However, if the game can't detect an active internet connection, simply entering the CD-key will suffice. I wouldn't call it DRM-free per se, but it's certainly more tolerable than forced online activation.
I haven't yet been able to verify this information myself, but I ordered the game and will keep you posted whether/how this works.

edit: According to Flying Wild Hog's website, the answer is yes: "Hard Reset: Exile DLC is a free expansion for Hard Reset. It was first released in April 2012 as a part of boxed Hard Reset re-release called Hard Reset: Extended Edition."
