Tried it years ago.
Was not convinced.
Will not try again.
End of story.
And no f's were given.

Exactly.

BreOl72: Exactly.
Precisely.

Usually a non-result is still a result, but not nearly as interesting or useful.

Even for people who don't use it, there's no doubt there's been a noticeable increase in interest of gaming on Linux (and Steam Deck's) over the past year, and an increase in threads here talking about it simply reflects that.

For me, the annoying thing about Linux isn't the OS.
It's the users…
Well, not everyone of course.

There's this type who promotes it genuinely. Writing tutorials, creating programs, or just generally answering queries and being helpful.

Then there's these bunch on the other side, who feels superior and slap it in your face on each and every opportunity, just to garner attention.

Of course there is a noticeable increase in interest.

Linux is the next big thing.
I'm not arguing that.
I simply stated, that I don't intend to follow the herd in this regard.
Apparently, that is seen as lese majesty by certain users here.
Which I find highly amusing.

And that's exactly, what I'm doing: talking about, how I won't fall for the Penguin.

That's really misleading since it is only referring to desktops which most people in the world do not use.

Android (which uses the Linux Kernel) is the most used OS in the world by a lot.
Linux also has 100% of the world's super computers. You know, the dumb-dumbs that run those :)

Good to see a thread on the opposing end of the spectrum after 5 pro linux threads.

What are the uniform choices?

Those types were a large chunk of why I didn't want to try linux. I'm slowly trying to give it a chance though.

Well, in that case I guess the shared press conference, in which all game developers and publishers declare their will, to
- bow to overwhelming public demand, and
- from now on only produce content for the new waddling star at the firmament,
can't be that far away, anymore?

I take it, you as a fan of the Penguin, have more intimate insights?
When will that presser be held? Next week? Next month?

Or will it take a litte longer, because all these companies still need more time, to accommodate for the new "Supreme OS"'s requirements?
;o)
The edginess is so cringe.

No uniforms.
Uniforms make you stick out.
Our "uniforms" will be everyday clothes.
Because we need to blend in.
We need to be subversive in the Reich of the Waddling Foe.

I really don't understand what you are saying.

For those who find a whole total of 5 Linux threads irritating, look at it from another perspective - Think of how many "Just Use Galaxy (tm)!" threads that non-Galaxy users have to read on the General Forum here as an 'alternative solution' to actually fixing those underlying basic website / packaging issues. If everyone created an overly-edgy 'counter thread' every time they heard another overdone Galaxy sales pitch, the forum would be literally unusable... ;-)

You're supposed to laugh. Not with him, but at him.

He's trying to be sarcastic you see. Now that the joke has been explained it will continue to be not funny.

I also don't believe that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.
