yogibeer, the Middle Earth one doesn't seem to be on GOG, but the Batman one is so I'll check that out. There seem to be a lot of the old Tomb Raider games though (which I already got). So even S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has factions?! Crap! I have Beyond Good and Evil and I've been meaning to get into it, so that'll be a good one!

Leroux, that sounds a bit weird, but if it's an online-only feature then I guess I can skip it anyway, as long as I can get all the offline features to work and play through the whole game that way.

Just to warn you: the old Tomb Raider entries are nothing like the recent reboot of the series. Tomb Raider I,II,III,VI,V, Angel of Darkness, Legend, Anniversary (TR1 Remake) and Underworld are level based. Some of those levels are huge, yes, especially in the last entries before Tomb Raider 2013, but they're not open world and exploration is limited, really limited in many levels. They're still fun to explore though. :)

Tomb Raider 2013 could be considered a semi-open world, because you can backtrack in the island, but well, it isn't really usefull except for secrets.

Batman Arkham Asylum is also semi-open world imo and the story is fully linear. The island is cool to explore and play around (Riddler puzzles are around the island, for example.)

Batman Arkham City, on the other hand, have you playing in the whole city of Arkham, with many more things to play with. Riddler puzzles come back, and some other secrets. Story is not so linear this time, because you can complete side-missions to advance other characters story.
I know about Tomb Raider. I played it here and there all the way back to when the first one was new. That's good to know about the Batman stuff though, and I'm considering getting it.

What about Druidstone: The Secret of Menhir Forest? That doesn't look very open world but it seems to be a good tactical RPG and doesn't seem to have any choices, or does it?

About Dying Light, is all the extra DLC stuff available if I just play the regular game or do I have to buy it?

Is it my imagination or were there more Metal Gear games available on GOG until recently?

I've never played Druidstone and Dying Light, so can't inform you in that, sorry. :P

Yes, unfortunately, Metal Gear Solid 2 was removed from all stores "temporarily" due to licensing issues.
Even PS3 version were removed from the store iirc.

Wow, that's crazy! But you're sure it's just temporary right? Because they need to bring that back!

You definitely should!
It ticks all the boxes for you:)
Only thing is that it has some problem on modern systems, but if you'll manage to get it working it's one of the best.
If you have any problems, don't hesitate to message me :)

_Line, it sounds like they had to remove them because of licensing issues of video that doesn't directly belong to them, but that they're working on it, as I would think they'd want to, because why would they want to stop selling something that's making them money?

yogibeer, the game works fine for me, so that shouldn't be a problem, but thanks.
