It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

As I initially mentioned in the LGOGDownloader thread, I've put together a little PyGTK GUI that allows you to use the "Enable GOG Downloader" option on Linux via LGOGDownloader.

You can get a screenshot-enhanced feature list and download it at
https://github.com/ssokolow/lgogd_uri

I've now squashed every bug I could find for the 0.1 RC series and I need more people to help test it so I can make a v0.1 release and start working on v0.2. (I only have time to dogfood one version at a time and v0.1 is in feature freeze.)

Also, I'm open to feature requests although, if it's not too much trouble, I'd prefer if you could file them over on the GitHub issue tracker.

To install it...

1. Install a LGOGDownloader from GitHub (Or wait for v2.22 to be released or don't use it to download extras. I need --download-file to handle gogdownloader:// URIs for extras.)

2. Download lgogd_uri and run sh install.sh. It should work on any distro and, on Debian-based distros, dependencies should be installed automatically too.

I've tried hard to provide a meaningful, actionable error message for every scenario but feel free to ask for help either here or on the GitHub issue tracker.

+1 for the effort! I'll give this a try when I can.
Awesome. Not sure I'll use it, but awesome nonetheless.
Very nice work, I may try this sometime :-)

Thanks!
v0.1 final released. It'll be on PyPI for easy `pip install lgogd_uri` as soon as I can find time to diagnose a "your username and password are identical to the one that works in the web UI but we're gonna give you error 401" problem.

It's technically out of feature freeze and ready for new enhancements, but I've got exams coming up, so I probably won't get back to it until July.
