While Aliens vs. Predator was a long-awaited addition to the GOG catalog, people are still crying out for its much-lauded sequel, Aliens vs. Predator 2 (7,602 votes on the wishlist as of this writing). For the lolz, and because I can, I have a very rare (well, rare-ish) Korean-English physical copy of Aliens vs. Predator 2 to give away. While I haven't actually tried this game out (AvP2 doesn't seem to work well in WINE, sadly), the installer and game are indeed in English.

AvP2 is still not available on GOG, Steam, GamersGate or DotEmu. While you can purchase the game physically on eBay or Amazon for as little as $8.99, retail BNIB copies are still hard to find in many areas. And hey, you can't beat free, right?

The winner gets a BNIB sealed copy of the slim pack release of AvP2. This is the vanilla release, mind you -- the Primal Hunt expansion is not included. As with my earlier Homeworld GA, the winner also gets a GOG-style collection of all of the extras, patches, and add-ons that I can find.

The rules are the same as my previous physical GAs:

3) You will not pay for S&H costs. (Though donations are of course welcome!)

In many large Korean cities there are large electronics markets, which usually have one or two sections devoted to gaming. Sometimes, these sections can be veritable treasure troves of old games, old titles that were liquidated as excess inventory and relegated to gathering dust on a forgotten shelf in an ignored corner of a market hall. It's where I've largely found the games I've used in my giveaways (like the Metal Slug Collector's Edition I gave away, the copy of BattleZone 2: Combat Commander, and the mint-condition retail copy of System Shock 2 that I gave away back in 2011). One stall I saw had pretty much most of GOG's catalog of classic releases in physical form (and in "big box" format no less).

Anyway! So I've decided to end this GA a little early and do the selection on Wednesday morning. I'll try to do it between 11 am and 12 pm or so, EST!

Most generous of you again. I would almost jump on this as AvP2 is still one of those games that I have fond memories of (never finished the damn thing, but it was really cool).
