There are many little tasks on GOG that could be done by an intern and would make our GOG experience better in no time. GOG may be short on HR resources, as customer support takes up to 1 month (sic!) for a first reply to a ticket - where i.e. the market standard should be 1 working day...

But hiring an intern wouldn't stress GOG financially, would profit in experience for such candidate and some things would improve our experience, like:

- cleaning up Community Wishlist (BETA) - as we know, Community Wishlist is still in the beta phase (yet again - sic!), so it's been flooded by duplicate entries for years now - it's a few days of an intern's work to clean it up once every couple of weeks,
- cleaning up review-bombing rates and pseudo-reviews. Two latest examples: on the newest Baldur's Gate 3 gamecard there are 90% of reviews and rates which do not follow review guidelines. Democracy 4 also has been review-bombed, as it has rating of 1/5 just hours after release,
- transfering threads from General Discussion to game subforums or redirecting users there,
- updating the gamepage screenshots/trailers - lots of them have been capped years ago and they lack the resolution, some of the the trailers could be done by an intern easily to show bits of gameplay for older titles where there's no proper trailer available,
- letting us know how the deal with the release of The Neverhood and Captain Claw (or just Claw) is going, because it would make our dream come true :-D

Please hire an intern or two and make our GOG usage more pleasant :-)

Here's my plan: Become a forum moderator and be active in community discussions. Don't forget to put disclaimers at the end of all your posts!

The community did so much to fix GOG, yet GOG just turns away the community. For examplee had a great filter (MaGOG), since GOG's search is utterly useless, we don't anymore. So yay, welcome to the brave new GOG.
BTW as for reviews I have no idea how it's still possible to rate and review by non-verified owners. Disabling this would alone get rid of a lot of trash on the site.

Be careful what you wish for, wishlist cleanups have been used as a disguise for nefarious deeds before (like that one time my "Vote No on region locking!" wish got stealth merged with the "Moar uncut gaemz plox!" wish, even though those are two different things entirely).

How would you feel if the "Keep being a DRM free store" or the "Don't get bought by Epic" wish suddenly got disappeared in a freak mishap?

Yeah, FCK HRM! Just randomly pick a couple of cheap/unpaid interns. The interns could also fix the buggy forums and terrible web design, keep installers up to date, secure the rights to all the classics and newest AAA titles that aren't here yet, and other minor stuff that GOG can't be bothered with. Shouldn't be much of a problem and will do wonders for their damaged reputation as a sympathethic, fair, and down-to-earth company. ;)

To-do list:

1. Get all offline installers up to date.

2. Fix and modernize website.

3. Port Cyberpunk to Linux.

That should be manageable for a summer intern, right?

I mean getting at least the games section cleaned up would be beneficial.

Time4Tea: 2. Fix and modernize website.
Another point where I'd advise to be careful what you wish for...

Remember the last time they revamped the website (about 2 years ago) and it ended up being ABSOLUTE FÜCKING DOGSH!T that was significantly less easy to use, had significantly fewer features, looked ugly as sin, etc.?

Seriously, folks, at some point you gotta realise that "change" usually means "change for the worse" around these parts. If you ask them to modernize the website, they'll end up replacing the whole thing with a one-page banner that says "TRY GOG GALAXY" in bright neon letters.
