That's an idea; use hair as a weapon. Perhaps you have a character, or a character class, whose main weapons are wigs.

Frying pans are another possible weapon, one that has appeared in JRPGs. Final Fantasy 4 has a minor character who said she used a frying pan against an invader (unfortunately, you don't get to see her wield it, and she isn't a playable character), while in Super Mario RPG, the frying pan is the strongest weapon that the princess can equip.

I hate to pry, but do you play anything other than JRPGs? I notice your posts seem to near exclusively revolve around the subject.

Posts about western RPGs also abound and I rather appreciate such in-depth passion for mechanics.

Yes.

I'm playing Swarm Simulator right now. (Incremental game (same genre as Cookie Clicker))

I've been looking into starting up Demon's Winter for a while. (WRPG)

Also have played Pathfinder: Kingmaker's 3rd DLC, and am planning on doing the same with Wrath of the Righteous. (WRPGs, but far more modern than the previous example.)

I can enjoy a good Metroidvania, like Timespinner or Bloodstained. Others I've played include Hollow Knight and Dust: An Elysian Tail, along with Guacamelee!.
.
And of course, I really do like Celeste a lot, even though it's far removed from the genres I typically play.

As for why I tend to post a lot about JRPGs? That particular genre happens to have a lot of potential for mechanical depth, and hence things to talk about. Many other genres don't have as much obvious depth to talk about (platformers), or are not as mainstream (incremental games). Also, I happen to know more about JRPGs than WRPGs in general, hence why I'm more likely to talk about JRPGs (though I really do enjoy early (pre-isometric) WRPGs).

Strijkbout: Every gun you pick up in Far Cry 2.
Hell, yes. How could I forget about the guns in FC2?
Well, given how much they sucked...that probably explains that.

100% agreement. One of the major flaws of that game was the tempo in which the weapons deteriorated.
We would live in a world of peace, love and dancing sunflowers, if real life weaponry would degrade as fast as they do in this game.
Dragon Warrior 4's Staff of Healing. This weapon heals whatever target it hits, but it has some issues:
* You can't get this weapon before Chapter 5.
* In Chapter 5, only the hero can be controlled directly; the rest of the party is under AI control.
* The hero can't equip this weapon. (If they could, you could then order them to attack allies, as unlike later DQ games (and unlike remakes of this game), you can target allies with offensive actions and enemies with beneficial actions.)
* The ally AI does not take into account the special on-hit effects of the equipped weapon, and therefore will only attack enemies, healing them.

The only reason this particular weapon isn't useless is that it casts Healmore when used as an item. Unfortunately, this targets enemies by default. Fortunately, you can target allies, you don't need to be able to equip an item to use it (a change from DW3, where many items could only be used by classes that could equip it), and the ally AI is actually smart enough to target allies with it. It's a great way to keep your party's health up when using the Use No MP tactic, particularly since you get this well before you get the Sage's Stone.

I've never had this problem because, knowing about it ahead of time, I just ignore loot-able guns and rely entirely on the gun shops.

A fleshlight is a male masturbatory aid. A lightsaber is a weapon in star wars. To "finish" someone, can mean to kill them, or bring them to orgasm.
The extreme weapons mod for Doom. We got a toothbrush, a shotty that delivers a devastating blast but can only be fired once, rockets that drop mid-flight and becomes a UXO, just to name a few.
