LEGEND OF KYRANDIA: HAND OF FATE, THE (BOOK TWO)

I am not trolling but a very simple concept escapes me after hours, mainly because of the different colors when you click.

One click opens eyes the next dose some kind of switch but it seems to be of different colors, dark blue is one. I found several walkthroughs and even attempted to transcribe a fast moving youtube players quick movements to learn the click order.

Watching the arrow playing the sequence 50 times at least, sometimes he would hover over a face but not click it. So i had to listen for the sound when he really click...and like beetlejuice said that makes my life a living hell. I just cant get it right.

The best walk through solution is:[

Spoiler maybe?:
This is an inverted version of the puzzle, the Towers of Hanoi.
The aim is to pile the disks in order on the left
to open the left side and then the middle to open the middle.
The right side does not open.

Here is the sequence for opening the mouths.
L => M means move the disk on the left to the middle.
R => M means move the disk on the right to the middle.
L => R means move the disk on the left to the right.
R => L means move the disk on the right to the left.
M => R means move the disk on the middle to the right.
M => L means move the disk on the middle to the left.

To open the left mouth:

R => L, R => M, L => M, R => L, M => R, M => L, R => L, R => M,
L => M, L => R, M => R, L => M, R => L, R => M, L => M, R => L,
M => R, M => L, R => L, M => R, L => M, L => R, M => R, M => L,
R => L, R => M, L => M, R => L, M => R, M => L, R => L.

The left mouth contains your stick.

To open the middle mouth:

L => M, L => R, M => R, L => M, R => L, R => M, L => M, L => R,
M => R, M => L, R => L, M => R, L => M, L => R, M => R, L => M,
R => L, R => M, L => M, R => L, M => R, M => L, R => L, R => M,
L => M, L => R, M => R, L => M, R => L, R => M, L => M.

The middle mouth contains a gear.
.....................................................................................

I need to convert this to clicking on a face, as in: Click left face, click right face, click center face, l,r,c,l,r,c...like that, can someone help?

I tried clicking it like it says but I gather it dose not mean click left then middle. it means move left to middle, and the only thing I understand of that is click, left then click middle. Transferring the disk? What to they mean the dark blue color? The light blue or grey? What is the disk?

I know this is, must be, stupid enough to qualify me for the Darwin awards but I cant seem to get it. Why not a music puzzle? A piano? A chessboard? I could do that no problem! Just not getting this.

Having not played the game, I unfortunately can't personally help you, but I will point out two things:
1. You might have more luck getting your question answered in the Legend of Kyrandia Series subforum.
2. Don't take my word for this since I could very well be misremembering things, but I seem to vaguely recall looking up the game some time ago and hearing something about a bug with clicking on things.
I believe you're overthinking it a bit. This whole thing is a traditional logic puzzle and has nothing to do with colours or switches. I think the lack of animations there may be somewhat confusing.
Basically, the entire thing revolves around the sockets/holes above the faces. When you start, you see that the socket above the third face is covered by a large flat surface. This is the first disc. Underneath it are four (five?) more, progressively smaller ones. Your goal is to move every single disc into the sockets of the other two stone faces. Once all the discs are in place, the mouth of the face in question opens to reveal the object you need.
To do this, click on a disc you want to move, then click on the socket you want it to go into.

The rules are that you can move one disc at a time into one of the other sockets, but, and this is the essential thing here, you can only place it in that socket if there isn't another, bigger disc in it already, meaning you have to move them back and forth until you're able to complete the sequence.
This post is probably not very helpful, as I find it kind of hard to explain, but maybe looking at the wikipedia page for the "Tower of Hanoi" puzzle will assist in clearing things up: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tower_of_Hanoi

EDIT: Also, I should have looked up synonyms for words like "socket".
