I'm broke, man!
I used trading cards that I got as free drops, and Chompy was on a 90% sale for $0.50. With trading there is no excuse to being able to afford games except that you just don't wanna do anything. :>

I have a box of Tic-Tacs and a glass of stagnant water.

A fair point (if you use Steam). My last five purchases on Steam were paid for entirely using Steam Trading Card Monopoly Money.

If you don't use Steam you can pick your grind. Selling Runescape gold, swagbucks offers, survey sites, using mobile spyware app promotions on an extra phone, doing mayonnaise drawings on your chest on fiverr...there's always some way to generate money/value from nothing.

I use those examples because most of the people who are in that situation are kids with no skills and lots of time. I know one guy who does paintings for games because he doesn't know how to market himself better.

Last game on Gog would have been Her Story a while back.

Absolutely cool little slice of popular culture. You can't put a price on that. Except they did.

I've bought 90% of the games I bought in the steam store using Steam's Monopoly money
Space Hulk collection as it was on 90% off and my trading cards revenue allowed me to do it.

Yeah, I agree. There are several legitimate work from home microjobs (Clickworker, Appen, mTurk just to name a few) that can net you at least $2 or $3 an hour for mindbogglingly easy tasks and most only require $10 to cash out. If you were to work an hour a night for seven nights and earn $2 each of them, that's $14. May not sound like much but if you cruise the sale lists here or on Steam etc $14 will get you a AAA game or a handful of other well known games.

I've never heard of any of these before. :P
Dropsy, four days ago.
The last game I bought (for myself) was Hyper Light Drifter, yesterday. Since that one isn't out, yet, though, I guess it'd be Californium, which I also bought yesterday.
