Knuckle Sandwich is an RPG that follows the story of a young man who moves out of home and starts working at a rundown diner. Almost immediately after landing the job, people start to go missing around town and a peculiar series of cults appears looking for answers. Is it up to you to get to the bottom of this? No, but you would do anything to keep your mind off how bad your new job is...

I opened this thread expecting a sandwich.
I am mildly disappointed.

You're just making this worse.

Watched the trailer, and here are my thoughts:

*: I don't like the music. (This comes first because I noticed it first.)
*: The trailer seems to focus a bit heavily on story, not gameplay. (There's a bit of gameplay near the end, but not much.)
*: Male main character is a negative for me.
*: Combat feels a bit slower than it should be. Common attacks of enemies take a bit too long. (I hope this is fixed in the final release.)

Well, maybe upcoming trailers and news would change your taste. I will update this thread.

Two problems here:

1. I am not a dude, so don't call me one.

2. The problem with male main characters are that they are way too common, and they are not something I can really relate to. To me, the choice to make the main character male is likely sexist itself, especially since developers too often don't consider why they chose to make the main character male. (Essentially, it's a case of "male by default".

It's also worth noting that, for the type of game it looks to be, I would consider the first and last points I made (especially the last one) to be more important.

Quite possibly. At the very least, it would help if combat would be reasonably fast. (Long animations are a problem that is way too common. I recently watched a video of Busin 0 (Japan-only sequel to Wizardry: Tales of the Forsaken Land, which I have not played, by the way), and noticed that each spell required 2 animations (the spell-casting animation and the spell-effect animation) both of which were too long.)

You can't relate to male characters at all? O_o

Here's an anecdote. Game is Star Ocean 2:

First playthrough: Played as Claude. Counldn't really relate to him, plus I didn't like the part where they took away your healer.

Second playthrough: Played as Rena. Enjoyed it much better, and could relate to her a bit better. Didn't mind the part where they took away Claude. I actually enjoyed playing as Rena solo early on, even if it is a bit tricky. On the other hand, I couldn't relate to his relationship with Claude.

As much as I shouldn't be replying to this bait, I just have to ask...
...just what DO you identify as?

Moose Knuckle Sandwich?
It doesn't look that interesting to me, but perhaps the game will be more interesting than the trailer makes it out to be.
