I have held off on these games for sometime. the problem with both releases where further dlc is released way past any hype has died down is that reviews for the full game are harder to come by.

i have tried Tides of numeria and enjoyed the freedom it gave until i couldn't solve a puzzle because all hints were so long they just added to the confusion.

for me the best CRPG ever have been larian's original sin games partly because of the voice acting but also because of the combat.

while there was almost no voice acting in Tyrrany, i appreciated how most choices fell in the gray, and i knew the consequences before i made them.
i think the edict of storms story line was perhaps the best part about that game.

i understand that deadfire is voice acted, but i always have this fear with their games that they lack the position between being everyone's doormat and a bloodthirsty ... well, evil dude.

i would appreciate your opinions on both games and I'm not opposed to playing both of them as long as my fears turn out to be misplaced.
I want an rpg where i feel like i'm making a choice and the devs don't try to make me feel guilty IRL over choices i make about fake people, like Tyranny.
