Hickory: I rest my case.
You have probably watched Braveheart and thought it was bad because history actually tells us that's not how it really happened.
You can think of me what you want, but you sir seem quite soulless, and you have my pity.
Love history and mostly ancient greece for its focus on philosophy and astronomy ,and the enlightenment for its focus on science and reason.

Cool giveaway and IN.

You've handily proved what a bullshitter you are and I have already rested my case. Q.E.D.

TheDudeLebowski: I'm in! Thank you very much for the chance.

In 1189, King Henry died shortly after an attack by his son, Richard the Lionheart. When he became king, he started working towards a crusade. I always found it hypocritical how a man can kill his own father (even if it were indirect, in a sense), and many others, and then go on a crusade in the name of a religion teaching "love".

richlind33: Probably because religion has nothing to do with love.
I've been taught to love others in my religion.
Wow, thank you very much, Beatrice! You rock :D

Every religion I am aware of, including Buddhism, contradicts itself, because organized religion is inherently hierarchical, which is antithetical to human development.

But this doesn't have anything to do with your statement above about religion and love.

Hierarchies *use* people, which is the antithesis of love. This is true of all hiearchies, not just religions.
