Kingdom Come: Deliverance – cult-classic action role-playing title developed by Warhorse Studios, an independent game development studio based in Prague, Czech Republic, founded in 2011 by a group of experienced game developers, artists, and designers with a shared passion for creating high-quality video games. The studio was formed with the goal of creating games that offer players unique and immersive experiences, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance was their ultimate testament to that vision.

This amazing game was released on February 13th, 2018, which means that today, we can celebrate its 5th anniversary! And since Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an exceptional masterpiece in its own rights, that managed to stand out in the already vast genre of role-playing games, we’ve prepared something special for the occasion.

For the duration of our We Love Games Sale (so until February 20th, 11 PM UTC) you can enjoy the discounts on Kingdom Come: Deliverance, as well as all its DLCs, Royal Edition and Deliverance: The Making of Kingdom Come, all up to 80% off! But while we are at it, why not talk a bit about why exactly Kingdom Come: Deliverance conquered our hearts and managed to build up an incredibly dedicated fanbase over those 5 years.

The game takes place in the Kingdom of Bohemia in the year 1403, during a time of great unrest and political upheaval. We take on the role of Henry, the son of a blacksmith, who is seeking revenge for the death of his family and friends at the hands of raiders. The story is centered around historical events and figures and we will have the opportunity to interact with real-life characters such as King Wenceslaus IV and Sigismund, Holy Roman Emperor. The game's world is open, allowing us to explore and interact with it in a non-linear fashion.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance's outstanding charm lies in its attention to historical detail and realism. It features realistic combat mechanics, an in-depth character development system, and a unique dialogue system that allows us to choose our responses and shape our relationships with other characters the way we like it. The world itself is also rich in detail, with an immersive and atmospheric environment that transports us back in time to its extremely interesting and unique era. From the architecture to the clothing, weapons, and political landscape, all of it makes up for a detailed representation of the presented world.

Another aspect of the game which played a huge part in its success are player choices and consequences. We will be faced with moral dilemmas and have to make decisions that will affect the outcome of the game, making each play-through unique and strengthening our bond with the KCD’s world.

All in all, Kingdom Come: Deliverance’s attention to historical accuracy, non-linear gameplay, realistic combat mechanics, character development, dynamic dialogue system and its immersive atmosphere all made it a one of a kind superb role-playing experience.

So, happy 5th birthday to Kingdom Come: Deliverance and expect some more great stuff to come with it during our celebration. Now, go get your discounted Royal or Standard Edition, pick up your favorite DLCs, grab the Goodie Pack and enjoy this amazing, medieval experience to the fullest!

I wonder if at some point those who have all DLCs would get an upgrade to the Goty, it would be nice if it would show up as owned for many games. GOG's handling of DLCs is horrible.

I would love that too.
Is the goodie pack a dlc for the base game, or a separate library entry? From the store page appears to be a separate entry, but the pack itself is a collection of dlc.

It will be added to the original KCD entry, not a separate game entry.
Just checked to confirm.

Making of and Fechtbuch are added as separate entries to the movie library.
While I generally enjoyed the game I laughed at the supposed historical accuracy of it with less realistic archery than even the Elder Scrolls series - topped off by the wrong armour for the wrong job.

Otherwise a great game worth picking up.

Best RPG of modern times in my opinion. I hope the sequel is coming along. To this day I still feel sorry for that guard that I knocked out early on to steal his armor for money. The poor guy ended up having to patrol town in his underwear for the remainder of the game. I felt guilty every time I saw him.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Hard to believe I purchased this game some time ago but I haven't played it yet.

Just got caught up with other games and new releases I guess.

Hopefully I'll get to it before another 5 yrs goes by.
What game is this for?

I reported this to support for other games, and they indicated that while they know of the issue, they aren't going to be fixing it anytime soon.
Finally giving people the soundtrack in FLAC after 5 years would be a reasonable way to celebrate.... just saying!
HAPPY 5th ANNIVERSARY!

Thx for the goodies pack, GOG! :D
