To me, there have been boring releases lately. Disappointed in GoG. I love indie games, don't get me wrong, but there have been some boring releases lately. Sorry, but they aren't my cup of tea.

Guess I have too much hope of an old school game release that is fantastic or even a new game release. Last good release was Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen.

Its the end of the year GoG, let's have some good unannounced releases!

No it wasn't. Some of the Idea Factory games that they released the other month were good.

But I do agree that in general, the releases on GOG lately have not been great, overall.

Yeah I'm not an anime fan either. Only a rare few do I like but it's not the bees knees for me.
Well, if you have specific interests, you're bound to have dry spells once in a while regardless of the store you buy your games from. Licensing games to be released DRM-free tends to be like pulling teeth when it comes to major publishers, sadly, which is why you see a lot more indie stuff than AAA titles.

That said, I have my issues with some of their modern releases. Way too many dating sims and lewd games, not enough games with substance. Hopefully that changes in time.

Well, some of the indie titles are pretty interesting. From top down retro styled rpg action titles to tactics titles with a twist and a trick. Personally i'm looking forward to seeing the release of Falling Frontier and Distant Worlds Universe 2 i belief in the start of 2022. Otherwise, i follow steam and epic ( and of course origin ) with some interest but new releases that manage to pickle to taste buds are also on those platforms far from regular
I'd say it was fine, we had some good classics, some interesting announces these last few months, even this very day.
And even though wast majority of my purchases here are repeats I still got couple dozen games I've never played before.

But yeah, we need some big hits to meet the New Year.

Honestly, I dunno how GOG managed to do it for Heretic, Hexen, or any of the Star Trek games, given their legal situations.

When did I make a post about this subject? Btw, if you didn't want to be a productive poster then why reply at all? You could simply ignore the forum and move on. Guess this subject really peaked your interest enough to talk about it.
