Hi fairly new here! Was a PC pirate back then, shifted to console gaming started buying legit games over there and now that Witcher promo brought me back to PC and along with it made me appreciate buying games for PC too. Started with the Witcher 2 welcome bonus discount plus Deus Ex GOTY Edition. You can add me, or curse me for being a pirate back then but I'm just glad that I was able to banish the thoughts of "If its free then don't pay for it". Just sharing! Cheers to more purchases (and backlogs)

Welcome to the club. What made you go to consoles in the first place and what made you want to switch back?

Welcome to the club. I once was games pirate like you.
Mostly because many CD games began to require a steam account.
GOG made me buy PC games again.

Hope you like it here. The GOG store unfortunately has some issues but its great forum community helps to balance things.
Welcome to the DRM-free PC gaming crowd! I hope you'll like it here.
Wellcome!!
I'm pretty new here too. Just for another reasons though.
I was just the physical editions customer kind of person. Things have happen and even if not, I've been forced to come to the digital comunity.
Though GOG list of games is humble compared to other stores, they can't old a candle against GOG's DRM free policy and the custom friendly aproach they have.
I play multiplayer almost never so I have a computer with online to work and the really good one its at the living room with the huge tv and such, but it doesn't have connection to the net. So it's great to dowload from one computer but play on the other one because I own the game. I could not manage otherwhise.

I'm writing too much.Sorry. I just wanted to greet you. Wellcome!!

Glad you're legit now. To be fair, I had dowload as pirate sometimes in the past too, just to try the game (as a demo of sorts) If I liked it I would unistall it as soon as I had bought the real thing. Nowadays demos are more populars and I'm more picky with games so no more bad stuff. :)
Sounds pretty familiar,

The last couple of years i had to buy any game i did like and tried a pirated version of in the past though i never pirated games from series or developers i was certain about to enjoy, only did total war warhammer to see if it would run on my system, which it did, though later i found out the pirated version was more optimized.. go figure ;)

anyways welcome and remember, full price is worth it too ..... consoles not so much ;p

I, too, use a separate computer to play the games I retrieve online from Gog. This is the definitive difference between Gog and Valve's service, being the ability to take your purchases to whichever of your personal devices happens to satisfy your requirements at any particular moment.
