As many of you will know, Night Dive studios tried to revive the Dark Seed games a few years back. However, because of the contributions of H.R. Giger to those games, and, apparently, subsequent demands of the H.R. Giger estate after his death, the endeavour turned out to be too expensive.

But in a 2016 Game Informer article about Night Dive and the revival of the Sysem Shock franchise, CEO Stephen Kick is quoted as saying:

“Part of my whole mission is to just not be indiscriminate with which games we bring back, to give everything a fair chance,” he says. “But if it’s too cost prohibitive, we kind of have to put it on the back burner for -a -while.”'

No need then to abandon hope.
