I was rewatching Constantine today and when Keanu was fighting off the half-breeds, I was reminded of John Wick. As I went down the internet rabbit hole, I was reminded that Keanu has played a lot of other Johns and Johnnys. I guess maybe CDPR picked Keanu for yet another Johnny role

Please list your favorite Johns and Johnnys, played by Keanu or otherwise

The only movies I can think of Keanu doesn't play the bored autist is in the Bill and Ted movies.
I don't mind it though as I like most of his movies.

It really is amazing to me how good Keanu was as Ted, seeing how he later made a career out of playing his antithesis - sad men in suits.

Constantine might actually be my favorite of those. Yeah, it's a very loose adaptation of the comic, but it's still a really fun movie in its own right. Much better in my opinion than John Wick, which I found rather boring. Johny Mnemonic is rather forgetable, the Matrix doesn't hold up to repeated viewings too well, and the sequels are just god-awfull. And then there's The Day the Earth Stood Still, which was just hilariously bad.

I completely forgot about that movie, which reminds me I still need to see the original.

And then there is his questionably casting in Dangerous Liasons and Dracula as someone pointed out where you expect he would end every line with "dude."
Johnny Cab in Total Recall is a big one for me. That was a standout movie in my youth and part of the reason I still love sci-fi today. "Hope you enjoyed the ride!"

And Branagh's Much Ado About Nothing. Honestly, in movies like these I'm sometiems not sure if it's more about him, or just me always mentally going back to Bill & Ted when I see him. When watching 47 Ronin in the cinema I just couldn't help myself from whispering "whoa", "excellent" or "bogus" after most of his lines (though that may also be because that was a terrible movie one could only sit through by making fun of it).
Johnny Utah - Point Break.

I know I'm in the minority, but I honestly prefer Keanu's stoner performance in I Love You to Death over Bill & Ted. It's a gem of a movie.

Keanu should move to Finland, he'd feel totally at home here.

He waves his hands much more while talking than we do though, introvert or not. I like the way how Keanu "can't take compliments", that is soooo familiar here. People easily become embarrassed if you give them compliments.
