I feel horrible. I just claimed a bunch of games that in all honesty, I will never get to.
...I don't have a lack of games to get through, self-isolation or not.

This is a fun clever little puzzle game. Unfortunately I'm too dumb to get beyond level 9 :P I'm going back to simpler games, like RPGs and strategies :D

For those wanting to play Bleed and Bleed 2 on linux (and can't install the files from itch.io), user vv221 has created script files to fix them (note, you also need the libplayit2.sh file from the wiki.slashplay.it website in the same directory with the script for installing and the file from itch.io:

The scripts are linked to in this thread:
https://www.gog.com/forum/bastion/playit_install_bastion_on_linux

Read through the posts starting where I first mention Bleed. The first script for Bleed 2 didn't work, but the version he posted a little later fixed it.

Note: These scripts split the bin installer into deb files. You will end up with 3 files, the data file installs the game data and the other 2 installers are for 32 bit and the other for 64 bit (you use whichever one you need).

Well, this sale made me create an itch.io account... but frankly after wading through the games marked as free (many of which said "demo"), I didn't feel like reclaiming any of them. Especially now that I read that reclaiming some of them may be a bit more complicated (donate $0 to the author or something). Meh, I don't feel like figuring out, but at least I now have an itch.io account, just in case.

Frankly, sometimes curation is good, less pointless stuff for me to wade through.

Those marked as free are mostly permanently free, and a huge pile of stuff you couldn't possibly make your way through. Should check out those on sale, for your platform(s) of choice, and then search for -100. That does still include permanently free games with paid additional content that's now also free though. Still huge numbers at the moment, but this is an uncommon situation, usually it's dozens at most, and sometimes even less than 10.
As for claiming, that's the dev's choice, whether to allow claiming when the game's free or not.

It's only a demo and therefore short. But it is a very charming game, well worth your time.
By the way, there are a lot of games called 'Pandemic' - and most of them are free. How fitting! ;-)

Trooper1270: From Orbit looks a pretty neat game.
Indeed! Thanks for pointing it out. I played it a bit and seems decent for a free game. It reminds me of Infested Planet somewhat.
I can recommend Lucah: Born of a Dream.

The story is so personal, abstract, and scattered that it functions more as an atmosphere-building tool than a plot, but the gameplay is glorious. One of the best takes on the Souls-like formula that I've seen. It doesn't look like a readable game at first glance, but you end up learning the parry windows and becoming comfortable with the general rhythm of combat anyway, almost like your muscle memory learns how to play before your brain can understand how you keep successfully surviving. And then you basically become a pro by the time New Game + rolls around and demands excellence.

I reviewed its Switch port back in July and ended up rambling for 3,000 words. This is a game you come out of with opinions.
If you like CGDCT anime visual novels, this one is a good deal. It is currently retailing on Steam for a full $20. But if you claim it on Itch.io, it's 100% free at this moment.

There are even more, which are free until tomorrow. Many thanks for the info! :)
