Fairfox: I don't mean google onto Google and google the googles. Technically, not-technically, non-technically or way-technically doesn't matter.

Is white chocolate chocolate?

And regardless, is it any good?

I don't like it. Others may differ on this. Do you like it? Did you want nothing but white chocolate at Easter?

Also: chocolate-chocolate is fab but I don't really eat it very much because badness.

Thanks.
Depends on the quality of the white chocolate. If it is of good quality it still contains a lot of cacoa and can be considered chocolate. If it is of poor quality, it only conatains sugar and fat and can only be considered garbage.

Edit: And I don't like it very much.

I like my chocolate chocolate! Not chocolate white chocolate.

Without Googling I think I may be right in saying that I am fairly certain to sort of remember that perhaps white chocolate just uses more more of coconut oil or some other chemical to represent dry milk. Thus, less cacao. That is why this chocolate-not-really-chocolate is white and all.
How bored is poor Fairfox? :P
White chocolate is cocoa-butter with other stuff. Chocolate in contrast doesn't has only the cocoa-butter but also the rest of the cocoa bean.
White chocolate made from the stuff that chocolate left behind after it became awesome (no, seriously, look it up). What more needs to be said?
I don't know.
It's definitely a cacao product.

Exactly. Cocoa butter is separated from the chocolate liquor, leaving the cocoa solids to go on and become chocolate in all its various awesome forms (some of which do include a bit of cocoa butter). The leftover cocoa butter, which chocolate didn't need to be awesome, was sitting around doing nothing, so they starting mixing stuff in it and ended up making skin lotions, soap, suppositories and white chocolate.
I kinda like chocolate, no matter the colour :)
Authentic and prototype chocolate, upon invention, is BITTER chocolate, so technically, umm, NO!

White chocolate doesn't give my mother-in-law migraines, unlike regular chocolate. So for her it's good.

If my options are to eat a spoonful of Hershey's unsweetened cocoa powder right out of the container, or eat white chocolate, I'll pick the cocoa powder. I don't hate white chocolate, but regular wins with my taste buds every time.
