Applied for a job at Medical IT firm about 18 years back.
15 support staff on 3 rotating shifts. Can't remember the exact system, IIRC it was 4days on 2 days off (maybe even 3 on 2 off) with 1 rota in 4 you working nights.

Its a multi-million dollar company
clarry: There's this ancient innovation called "shifts."
Not that I advocate it. IMHO forcing people into such working conditions is inhuman. Forcing is Bad, and illegal
But I used to do a 6am-2pm shift, very happily

Yeah. The problem is that until we have something like universal basic income, the reality for many people is they can't just choose where they work or what working conditions to accept. They take whatever work they can get, and hold on to whatever job they have.
I used to work at a factory (employing >100 people) where they switched production to three shifts. Most factory workers hated the change, but they can't simply walk to another employer.

Would you work on weekends?
No one likes it.

I love working weekends. Always have. It's either REALLY busy which makes time goes by fast or it's REALLY slow which means you are basically getting paid to sit on your ass and do nothing. :P
I always wanted Monday nights off but that's when MNF was the best game of the week and not the worst, though this week it's a fucking epic match up.
When I worked for B&N I used to volunteer to work on Christmas, but they were never open then. :P

Work weekends, get your days off during the week
city center is less busy
same for cinema, normally cheaper too
loved getting days in leue for working on weekends.
only time we could take the kids to theme park or zoo, at the weekend its always too busy

More to the point, who wants to keep a brassiere on during the weekend if they're not going out?

high rated

And to clarify, if the ticket is about a refund, it doesn't matter when the Support Representative replies, but when the ticket was submitted. It wouldn't be fair otherwise.

There are many medical services in my country closed on weekends. The Emergency Department at the hospitals still run, but other departments that could be essential in reducing the number of people reaching emergency status shut their doors on weekends.
A little drop of perspective. I understand your frustration, but there are far worse things that you could be worried about than getting a support response over the weekend.

You have a heart attack here, you're fucked. :P
The good thing is when there is a snowmobile accident and dispatch says "It's going to take at least an hour to get an ambulance there" they can rest assured that it's going to take at least that long to get the guy removed from the tree.
