Edit: Actually I went into the GOG Galaxy files in Program Files x86 found the shortcut to the program within the galaxy launcher, and created a desktop shortcut.

After installation? I don't think so.

Before installation? Once the installation window pops-up, you'll see a checkbox with the words "Create a Desktop Shortcut" next to it (check attached image). Check it and a shortcut should be created, once the installation is complete.

So what I did with "Program Files x86" may be corruptible?

Corruptible? No. The shortcuts in your Program Files will work fine, they just won't use Galaxy's "features" like tracking play time or achievements.
You mean like that one?
Thanks :)
Click on Windows C .. Program Files x86 ..GOG... GAMES ...OPEN the game file and scroll to the game launcher.. Drag and drop to your desktop for a shortcut.

1.Make shortcut file and open properties.

2.Change format of "Target:".
Example
"C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Antihero\Antihero.exe"
-> "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\GalaxyClient.exe" /command=runGame /gameId=1417678837 /path="C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Antihero"

You can check gameId in game folder.
"goggame-*********(gameId).hashdb"

3.Change "Start in:" to "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy"

I just want to say thank you. It worked like a charm. Lost my shortcut and cloud sync after moving Cyberpunk from a Sata to NVMe. Your response helped me restore the settings. Again, Thank you.

Hello, sorry for digging out old thread, but is there a way to add command line arguments to such a GOG desktop? The problem is, I want to have two shortcuts: one that runs No Man's Sky with GOG Galaxy in normal mode, and one that runs No Man's Sky with GOG Galaxy in VR. Then, I'd need something like
"C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\GalaxyClient.exe" /command=runGame /gameId=1446213994 /path="E:\Games\No Man's Sky" /commandLineArgument="-HmdEnable 1"

Check in Galaxy for the game, to the right of play, click that and see if there is Additional Executables. There may already be a NMSVR option there, assuming it has it's own VR executable.
If not:
Manage Installation > Configure > Launch Parameters - Custom Executables.

If you're just wanting shortcuts that open galaxy or something I don't know as I don't do that.
