I'd like to purchase the game here but don't want to miss out on the level editor/steam workshop stuff. There's no indication on the page about those things that I can see.

No, unlike other stores GOG only provides GOG keys.
I was getting worried; the weekend is almost over. :P
no
gog doesnt provide steam keys because steam is a competing platform
what you see on the store page is what you get

and what you get is a drm free game you can play 20 years from now on a old pc running windows 7 and a bunch of freebies with no strings attached

Yup - though of course you can alwys add the gog version as a non steam game to the client and still make use of some of the overlay features etc.

As to steam workshop - pretty sure any mods etc out there will be available otherwise.

humble is a reseller

gog is a competitive platform
and you have to decide for your self whats more important to you

the convenience of steam

or the absolute certainty that if you back it up properly your game will still be playable in a decade or two

From what I've seen you usually get more mods/levels out of the workshop because it's easier to upload to the workshop than say Nexus, DB or what ever. I always struggle with whether I should buy a game on Steam or GOG when it has Steam Workshop.

On the one hand I can get it DRM free and be uber happy that I'll never not have the game...

But I'd have so many mods and levels on the Workshop that won't be anywhere else if I get it on Steam... I found this espeically with ShadowRun Returns. The Eternal debate... for me at least.
In a decade or two, when snowkatt finally gets his pubes.

The Level Editor is not exclusive to Steam and will also work with GOG's version. As you can see on the game page when you click "Read more".

But on steam you have to fight against the setup to actually find anything of use.

Skyrim (as an example): 1000s of nudey-buff companion boob and fetish gear mods - a very low ratio of useful mods buried in there - and regardless of what i search for, I still have to go through the 1000s of nudey-buff companion boob and fetish gear mods to find whatever useful mod I was looking for.

Besides, I think Hotline Miami 2 is likely drm free on there same as the first - so this mutes all arguements.
