As you can see from the screenshot, either Windows 10 has never been discussed here (pretty unbelievable) or the search engine here is still as helpful as always.

I searched the main page, the support pages, and what I'm looking for is basically an answer to my nephew's question of "I have Windows 10 on my laptop, will GoG games play well with that?"

And I don't know. Haven't a clue. I don't know anything about Windows 10 (I use Windows 7 Professional) and haven't followed any Windows 10 discussions here (if there have been any).

It seems odd that this wasn't one of the FAQ but I didn't see it under FAQ (could've missed it, I scanned it quickly).

What's the consensus here, do Windows 10 and GOG play well together or not?

I am curious too about the games. I have a pile of games on discs that do NOT work on Windows 10 so might get a copy on GOG of my favourites among them if GOG can get them going. Still on Windows 7 here. Maybe sticking to that + Linux dual boot in the future.

Every game card lists supported operating systems, as in supported by GOG.

Yeah, I know that. He was asking in general. As in, "generally speaking, do the old gog games run okay on Windows 10 or do some, many, most, not many, very few..... etc. have issues?"

I'm not going to go through 1500 game cards (or how ever many there are) to come up with a percentage. I was wondering if the topic had been discussed, and whether there was any general conclusions drawn. Fact is, I believe there are still a few games that don't play well on Windows 7, but overall, GOG games play well with Windows 7. Don't know if that's true with Windows 10 or not.

Does anyone have a feeling for this?

ADDED: Well fixing the typo did indeed get a return of LOTS. Unfortunately after scanning over two dozen, can't seem to find any information other than there were some issues with HOMM games on Windows 8.1. Which didn't help me at all. LOL Oh well, I do suck at searches, even when I don't do typos. I just don't know how to narrow he searches enough to get what I'm looking for. Plus, I still don't have much faith in the search engine here anyway.

Absolutely best would be an answer from GOG as they are sure to have the numbers.

Most games work just fine on Win 10 even when not marked on the game cards. There are maybe a handful of exceptions.

Far too many games I have in there :-(

Thank you very much for this. 160 games out of I really have no idea but I'm guessing it must be 1600, meaning 90% must be supported for Windows 10. That's not bad at all. Not too bad at all.

And from my experience, 90% of those 160 work fine on my machine. So it's very few that don't work, probably depending on architecture.

As RWarehall said, some of them may work on 10. On the other hand, nobody knows if any pre win10 game will work in the future..
Please be advised that Windows 10 operating system will receive frequent hardware driver and software updates following its release; this may affect game compatibility.

GOG plays nice with Windows 10. Of the games I owned, none of them refused to work on Windows 10. The only game that might remotely refuse Windows 10 is Dust: An Elysian Tail, but that was fixed by a XNAF dependency that I installed eons beforehand.

But I can tell you that we never discussed WInsows 10. What's a WInsows 10 anyways?
