Is the k lite codec pack safe to use on windows 10?
As much safe as on every other Windows I guess.
If you're not going to play around with settings nor recoding, feel free to use VLC
I don't recall having to mess with codec packs since the early 2000s. What are you trying to do?
i second VLC or use MediaPlayerClassic

As Darvond said, you shouldn't have to use any codec packs since most players nowdays include them. VLC definitely does.

You actually need K-lite or CCC for some games since their internal player can't handle some file types. Particularly for modding, like with FFVII or other games such as Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain.
