aweigh0101: Call me old-fashioned, but I'm just a firm believer that it should be illegal to hire people based on their race, which is why I'm anti-SJW.

From the replies here it seems that using GOG would go against my beliefs of equality for all. Thanks, everyone. I would not want to support a company that advocates for SJW beliefs of segregation and unequal treatment based off race, gender or ethnicity.
Under the years i've used GOG i have never really felt they where advocaters of the extreme left politics you see among some corps and people within entertainment industry and outside, i have myself ripped on crappy videogame journalist sites and devs/publishers who try to push it endlessly and not been nice on them at all on these very forums and nothing happened but do try to keep the guidelines and not use excessive swearing and blatantly poor behavior.

As for GOG's controversies i honestly don't think it's about agenda pushing and taking a stance rather than trying to stay reputable and have good relations with publishers and devs, many of whom have gone very to the left side of politics here and there like EA, Activision etc to mixed results even though they mess it up with other actions whether it's rejecting games for strange reasons etc.
I mainly think GOG has made a fair share of poor descisions that can easily be miscontrued as beingn overly political when it may not be the case not to mention that being based in Poland might not be as used to tactics like what some activists do that attack everything under the sun and trying to smear you whether it's true or not.

Not saying GOG is perfect or anything because oh man they certainly do mistakes but i do think we need some proof rather than speculating that they have been infiltrated by far left activists before acting like it's a universal truth.

dgnfly: GOG is Pro SJW and will enforce garbage on you hence why ''Not Tonight'' is on my top recommendation list while I actually wrote a review on it for being too political but they even censored that. Not to mention how they cowered to the fake outrage mob by censoring themselves on twitter a couple of times for making some mildly offensive joke and even just a mention of the PC master race joke which triggered some people. GOG loves Kowtowing to those people cause they actually think those people buy games.

DadJoke007: Provoking outrage just for the heck of it is is just bad business practice, I can see why they would self-censor since they had nothing to gain by such unprofessional tweets.

I don't know enough to comment on firing employees though, I just commented on their self-censor and nothing else.
Here some info on the fired Employee.

The problem with this self-censorship is the fact it was a joke and these days we so Politically correct that a joke or simply a word makes people triggered. Let those people grow a pair and move on instead of demanding censorship because of feelings. I don't call a joke being Provoking outrage cause the Postal one was factual that the gaming media is nothing more than a bunch of a gangster in bed with the devs for good ratings. Even the ''PC master race'' one is a very normally used just to say that PC gaming was better, Not to mention the fact it was Terry Crews who even said it.

Censorship for feelings is bullshit. cause, in the end, no harm was done other than some overreacting people with some butthurt feelings.

I'm a fanatic free speech advocate. I'm not saying that people should self-censorship, I'm just saying that I can see the economic incentive to do so from a corporate point of view. That doesn't necessarily say anything about the values over at GOG other than that they enjoy making money just as every successful corporation out there.

Would you call not releasing certain games here because they deemed them not good enough quality in a personal Eye a good business decision? Cause they didn't release Agony or Hatred here for fake outrage while Steam released them and most people already forgot about them. These games aren't here because GOG played censorship rules when it suits their own agenda. GOG is losing money fans are tired of their antics or personal agenda and you think some harsh words/Jokes is something to worry about? Not to mention they'll just alienate their hardcore fanbase for fake casual gamers that start these fake outrage while never bothering to buy the game.

Kinda like how some people make use of outrage culture to get a certain game changed and once they are they don't even bother caring to buy them. so now they lose out on their existing fanbase while pandering to a fanbase that was never interested, to begin with.

Like the entitled toxic fans of Catherine and Assassin's Creed: Odyssey who bullied and harassed the game devs, including threatening to begin campaigns to get the game devs of Catherine fired, all so they could force them into changing the games in order to suit them.

SJW community is like a disease that tries to destroy everything in their path, From free speech and expression to peoples lives for a selfish childish reason like simply being offended. They even went as far as to Dox the GOG staff member to harshing his family.

I might be a foul mouth asshole sometimes but I wouldn't stoop as low an SJW to target people in real life for an opinion or a joke but those SJW have zero standards and everything is game in their agenda for fascism.

Most who cave in probably do it because it looks like it's going to cost more to keep the 'offending stuff' in the game. Those who are outraged are going to boycott, and the loud minority can probably look really big. On the other hand, the majority of those who are interested in the first place will buy it either way.

It barely costs a thing to give in to the mob, while it can be perceived as quite costly to let the mob go wild.

It will be interesting to see how devs/publishers are going to handle this in the future. Judging from the current political climate, they will probably end up being hated no matter what they do and be forced to pick a side.

What games? they reject games on personal taste and personal agenda's so soon you'll only be playing games they deem quality. If I have to believe the reply I got from GOG on Wizardry, it indicates they reject a whole lot more games than just those on the already rejected list.
