I want to get a game on Gog for someone for Chirstmas. It looks like if I go through with the purchase and gift the order, it's going to be emailed to the person immediately.

What is the best way to give someone a gift on a specific day?

Send it to your own email, then send him/her the gift code on Christmas/whenever you want.

Not to worry. Purchased codes (that you bought with money) don't expire. :)

Free codes, that GOG gives out for their giveaways however, do often have an expiry date attached.
