Hi, I have some old games like moo2 and x-com apoc in CD form. The CD's are authentic.
Is it possible to add them in my account? I don't have cd\dvd player in my pc and it would be cool if I could install them at will and also have all the goodys gog offers, like ready to use dosbox support.

Thank you in advance.

No. There are a handful of select games like the STALKER series which can be added to your account via the "reclaim your game" page.
The thing is, GOG put a lot of effort into making these old games run without problems on modern machines. That's what the original Good Old Games was all about. And that's how many people of the old crowd ended up here :-)
If you want to play these old games again with no fuss - simply spend a little money and buy them here. This little money goes to the people who made sure you can run them on your modern machine - and those people who would help you if you run into trouble. It's IMO well worth it.

As far as I know you need to re buy them here to get Gog's extras/support.

You CAN likely add them to your library shelf in Galaxy 2.0, though, but that won't give you extras or support either.

No because GOG needs to make money. But you can probably create ISOs of those CDs or otherwise back-up them if you research it. And DOSBox isn't too hard to use imo. You can also ask for help on the GOG or Steam forums, Reddit, etc.

Not a problem. I hope you enjoy the site regardless and find some games to buy and play. :)

As others said, in general GOG doesn't provide such service. However, you've mentioned MoO2. A couple of years ago they've came up with an idea of giving digital copies of MoO games to owners of physical copies if they provide some photo evidence.
https://www.gog.com/news/master_of_orion_updated_reclaim_your_master_of_orion_1_2_and_3_retail_copies

I've asked Ashleee, one of the staff members, about that and she confirms the offer is still valid, but she asked to send all the required info and photos via a support ticked instead of using email address mentioned in that news.
MoO2 works just fine from the cd too. You just need to use the DOS version, that alsowas included on the cd, in an emulator like DOSBox then download the official patch if needed, then install this: http://moo2mod.com/

When on sale, most DOS games cost pennies here.

I also know of a place that has the configurations and everything already in place. But downloading, stripping the game out and leaving the dosbox & configuration and then distributing that shouldn't have any issues, as all the files are replaceable via the CD otherwise.

It's also possible GoG might offer a free download of all DOSBOX games, where it is the DosBox package and configuration files as well lacking the game, so anyone who still has the discs or original files can simply install it themselves via DosBox and run it.

Reminds me... Got Windows 95 to run in DosBox. That was a fun adventure :P
