I admit I don't check everything, but I see less stuff like manuals, OST, wallpapers, etc. Available as part of the general purchase. Especially for the newer games.

Yes, you are right. Most new games split those out for DLC. There are some good reasons behind it (having to pay musician for example), but most of it is just to squeeze every penny out of customers. Some only provide part of the game.
Yep, and you can forget about free soundtracks; people seem willing to pay for those, so they are a thing of the past.
It irks me when they put the manual as one of the goodies. As far as I'm concerned it's part of the game, not a goody.

It helps to have it there so people know that the game includes the manual before having to buy the game :)

Of course, even then I have found one case where the manual is incomplete; the manual for Battlespire is missing several pages.

Ok, I understand. :)
I guess in the case of some GOG Ltd. games, they couldn't get the rights to have the OSTs as bonus content. (I just mention this because it looks like War Wind 1 and 2 both have game music - https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=war+wind+game+soundtrack)
Carmageddon still comes with the cutout cars so what the hell are you people so mad about!?
Seeing the trend of separately available soundtracks here on GOG, I doubt that free goodies will be available at all in the near future (for new releases, which often are inferior anyway on GOG unfortunately). To the first person trying to respond with something like "uh, it's because of licensing and stuff": No, I don't care. It's just milking the cow even further while at the same time offering less and less content.
