I vaguely remember my Paypal GOG.COM bill mentioning Cyprus, which is close to Greece.
So, is GOG affected by the Greece banking crisis?
Doubtful. GOG is incorporated in Cyprus, but its payment processor is in the UK, so it hasn't been shut down like the banks in Greece.
No. Cyprus is a different state than Greece -I know, I live there. However, I do see where the misunderstanding comes from -many envelopes my father receives from the US say "Cyprus, Greece" as the postage address, which is kind of annoying-in the sense that it's a wonder said letters didn't get lost because of the cluelessness of the senders. Also, Cyprus is only GOG's nominal tax address, and it's uncertain whether they actually have any money stored there.
On another note, GOG's incomes might be influenced a little, by the fact Greek Gogers won't be able to shop as much anymore, due to e.g. Paypal not accepting Greek credit cards and all that...

Thanks to the shutdown of the banks, almost all kinds of foreign transactions are currently impossible, so we can't even pay using our credit/debit/prepaid cards directly. In addition, Paysafe has halted any issuing of vouchers, which means that Paysafe is only an option if you already had balance from before.

What an horrible situation.. you can't even use your own money :|
I believe that GoG com is not affected... But its members do. Grargar's post aside, i was due to receive a rather large payment in July and i had been planning to round up my GOG, and my offline life's wishlist a little bit, thinning my "to buy" list considerably. And i can't even pay for my obligations, for crying out loud.

I have never asked the bank to make a card for me so i can withdraw money from automated machines, because i was always afraid of *skimming* and other machinery exploitation, that would put my money into dire peril. I am against technology and using it in many cases, from Android/IOs and the new generation of mobile multigadgetry (and their serious security issues or the easiness to be hacked), to the simple bank automated transactions machine. I have always been exclusively pro to face to face and human interaction EXCLUSIVELY, to conduct ANY form of business; or entertainment. Or anything else that matters...

Now i cannot even withdraw 5 euros, sum i have hoarded in my count totally irrelevant, of course! But i don't worry. I have a natural excuse that no one can object to. And besides that, i voted NO, while being fully aware and knowing it. As a responsible adult, i am going to take responsibility for whatever the hell follows. And money has never been my god in this sh*thole, in the first place.
