I downloaded a 10GB patch for Asterigos on my Steam Deck earlier through Galaxy, and that took about 4.5 minutes. The exact same download on my PC which is fully capable of utilizing my full bandwidth, on the exact same connection is downloading at about 30% of that speed (over 25 minutes estimated). I was getting about 30MB/s earlier, and now I'm getting 9. What is going on here.

Without getting into the weeds of bandwith, etc, in summary, it's a server issue, in terms of how "robust" the platform is.
No, not throttling. Downloaded a offline installer earlier, got my usual close to 20 MiBps.

They don't have direct influence anyway, all data is on cloud servers, your geolocation decides which one you will be connected to.

Time of day also affects the random nature of the server too. If i download from GOG at night here I tend to be connected to a server in Minnesota rather than anything even remotely near (like in the EU).
