Everyone knows why CDP did what they did, but they keep pretending nothing happened in the hopes that people forget it, but people didn't and that will keep haunting CDP while they don't release the game.
And if they release the game without changing their transparency policies (or perhaps the lack thereof), they'd be indirectly admitting either the "many messages from gamers" weren't real, or that they meant nothing at the end of the day, making the whole debacle even worse.
