Green_Hilltop: What does it do? I have a Realtek, but I don't have that issue, asking in case it comes up eventually. :)

cronotrig: I know it was not your intention and im not mad or anything just a warning. that Realtek driver library will remove /disable your sound if you have a mobo like mine z97 gaming 7. I can't even install the drivers from my mobo manufacturer now. sigh. currently trying to roll back the driver unusefully. no installer or drivers show in the device manager to remove or replace. fun times!
Hang on which Version of windows are you using 32 bit or 64 bit?

Windows 7 64 bit ult.

update** I have finally got it to stop crashing when idle. rolled back the bios. I still have the problem of the sound drives ( realtek)not working for the sound for onboard. I just get sound coming from HDMI connection ( monitor with built-in speakers) ( nvida driver I think is the reason I get some sound. the realtek drivers are nowhere to be found path or showing installed in the list of programs. I got a possible fix for the galaxy from gog support. I don't care about the games at this point i want my onboard sound back.

Hello,

The 0x000007b error indicates the issue with Redistibutables packs.

Please follow these steps:

1) Please go to "add or remove programs" in the control panel and remove the following:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributalble (x64)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributalble (x86)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributalble (x64)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributalble (x86)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributalble (x64)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributalble (x86)

2) Restart your PC (that's important)

3) Re-download and install once again all files bellow:
