CharlesGrey: As far as I know, Gwent, with its micro-transactions, was and is significantly more profitable than Thronebreaker...
It's possible they did well with it off the start, but the current popularity of the game seems absymal.

I played the game heavily during a portion of the beta, it wasn't extremely popular but it had a dedicated following of players. However after the release of 1.0, I think it bled out a lot of the beta players (including me) because they were very unhappy with how the so called finished product was nothing like the beta.

I occasionally check Twitch to see if anyone I used to watch is still playing, most of the time it's barely at 200 - 300 viewers in total.

Linko64: Paypal me £40 and i'm yours for an hour of Gwent.
Exactly. Give me $40, GOG, and I'll see if I like Gwent enough to hustle up some friends to share all this "magnificent" loot with. Or maybe I'll just blow it on Cracker Jack. o.O

Wow, what a great idea GoG!! Wait until all your players invite thier friends, then start a promotion they can't use because thier friends are already playing.

CharlesGrey: As far as I know, Gwent, with its micro-transactions, was and is significantly more profitable than Thronebreaker, so don't get your hopes up. I think the only reason they bothered to create a single-player Gwent game at all, was A) to stop the complaints about micro-transactions and always-online requirements, and B) to ease people into the game, so they'll eventually join the flock of pay-to-win Gwent addicts.

Arundir: Just wondering, wasn't there talk about a single-player campaign in GWENT back then? Is Thronebreaker perhaps the single.player campaign that should have been in GWENT?
My understanding is that it is, yes. But I can't say I've followed the goings-on regarding Gwent particularly closely.
No. I wouldn't do that. I want them to stay my friends.

Hell, GWENT is something I wouldn't even wish on an enemy!
I would start playing this piece of shit if only there was a drm free release, like you claim on your front page.
"IS ANYONE THERE?" Achievement Unlocked! lmao
lmao best thread they have posted in ages, marking it my fav topic for the sweet responses

tinyE: I have neither Gwent nor friends.

This isn't looking good.
Oh, don't be like that. It's very easy to start having Gwent, at least. In that sense it is a lot like an STD.

And neither Gwent or STDs work for single player.

It's not a perfect analogy, mind you. You'd usually have a lot more fun contracting the STD.
Bump. :) I still hope that someone will like to use my referral link.
This will allow us both to earn these additional rewards mentioned in first post.

Oh, come on, that's not funny, it is not as mocking about the game, those are people who are probably having a very bad time right now.

About GWENT, sorry, not interested at all.
