I installed Neverwinter Nights Diamond (GOG version) and the intro videos don't scale to full screen. The game itself runs fine in desktop resolution, and also scales to full screen if I set it lower than that. (as set in the Geforce control panel)

My specs: Win 10 v1709, 970 GTX, DirectX9: installed, Directplay: On, Geforce Control Panel: scale to full screen [aspect ratio], resolution set in game: 2560x1440, not installed in any Windows related folder.

The intro movies play centered at their original resolution (800x600 or something like that). Why don't they scale to full screen? I've noticed this with other older games, ever since I installed Windows 10. Any ideas?

Side note: Star Wars: Racer had this too, running it with DGVoodoo solved it.

edit: In Neverwinter Nights, if I set it to Win98 compatiblity, the movies do scale to full screen but don't keep aspect ratio (=they stretch from 4:3 to 16:9).

Nobody? Is everyone (on Win10) just watching their cut scenes in tiny 640x480 (I checked) squares?

I searched the NWN subforum, and only found 1 person asking the same question... with no reply, of course.
The GOG technical support section says to install RAD Tools for Bink video - but that's just a player / conversion & other tools program.
I finally found out what caused it. On my previous monitor it didn't matter if I selected scaling by monitor or graphics card. Now I have to select graphics card to have aspect ratio scaling.
Weird that it's only an issue for (some) in-game movies and never the games themselves.
Some games handle scaling internally, others just shrug and shaft the resolution. Depends on when/how well they're coded.
